Impressions of driving on the highway - Toyota Land Cruiser, 4.2 liter, 2007

The first trip over a relatively long distance (total mileage per trip a little over 500 km) allows us to draw some conclusions about how the turbodiesel weave behaves on the highway.

The first part of the trip took place on more or less clean asphalt with rare patches of packed snow. I had to slow down before sharp turns and accelerate again. Acceleration dynamics is quite acceptable, satisfied. Not a racing car, but not a pensioner either. Easily overtakes from 80 km / h in fifth gear. Holds the road well. In some places there was a rut, but I overcame it without straining - I didn’t have to catch the car.

Small bumps pass unnoticed, on medium ones it shakes within the normal range, and on large ones it shakes. In general, the work of the suspension is excellent.

I was driving back in the snow. In fact, I did not notice a difference in handling. Perhaps because he was careful. Firstly. a very large experience of riding all-wheel drive does not succumb to a sense of stability. which can at one moment be replaced by an unpredictable skid. Secondly, I have not yet fully understood the capabilities and limits of the machine's controllability.

However, the snow-covered track is easy and smooth.

I would like to point out something. More than once I caught myself thinking that I was going one gear lower. For example, I go to the fifth, but it seems. that the fourth is included ... Diesel costs, probably)

The landing is good, the back is not tired.

Overall very happy with the trip.
