The chips manufactured by "ADONIS Technology" attracted our attention not by chance. The main advertising indicator was not numerous enthusiastic publications in the press, but real results shown by the World Rally Raid Cup winner driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 120 Prado turbodiesel car. This car, equipped with a factory-fitted 3.0 turbodiesel engine, has a relatively low motorsport power of 163 hp. With the help of a chip and small engine modifications allowed in the production car category, the power has increased to 240 hp! At the same time, the engine showed extraordinary vitality.

We used a Toyota Land Cruiser 100 with a 4.2 liter turbodiesel engine for testing. Before that, the Safari power increase system was on the car.

The result exceeded all expectations. Already having approximately 225 hp. when installing the chip, the car radically changed its dynamics, so much so that I had to think about installing a reinforced brake system.

The chip turned out to be fairly easy to install. Has two separate blocks. The engine optimization processor is installed directly next to the main computer, and the turbine control unit is installed in the engine compartment.

Of the pleasant little things, I would like to note that the processor has a power switch designed for average and maximum power, and an additional toggle switch for completely disabling the chip is displayed on the dashboard, which returns the engine settings to factory settings.

The turbine control unit has its own fine adjustment that allows you to optimally adjust the entire system to a specific engine and the desires of the owner.

As an option, however, necessary for an advanced user of the "ADONIS Technology" system, we installed "Auto Meter" devices that show the turbocharger boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature sensor, which harmoniously fit into the interior of Toyota. And as an additional reinsurance and help in heat transfer, the engine received an additional oil cooler as a “gift”.

And of course, it was not without the installation of the Apexi turbo timer, which, in our opinion, is obligatory for any turbocharged engine.

Despite the rather high cost of "ADONIS Technology" chips (the most expensive models reach up to 2000 euros), the effect of increasing power and improving dynamics is amazing and does not cause complaints in operation. The only negative is a small emission of smoke when re-gassing in the "pedal to the floor" mode.

The quality of manufacture and the balance of work of the "ADONIS Technology" system with the factory system is also evidenced by the fact that in all modes of operation and extreme turning on and off the chip "on the go" with the help of a toggle switch, the "check engine" emergency lamp never worked, which is often occurs when other chips are installed.

As a result, our rating is 5+ and this is a truly noteworthy system for fans of tuning their car.
