Wheels for the winter — logbook Toyota Corolla Fielder 2003
Until recently, in the autumn-winter season, I drove Nokian Hakkapellita 4, mounted on stock stamped wheels, covered with stock hubcaps. For rubber for all this time there were no complaints, a great option for autumn-winter.
I would have gone further, but my old friend lelik-654 bought a car for himself and was faced with the problem of finding good winter tires for inexpensive. In general, I made him a small fit - they put Hakkapellita 4 on his Carin'y.
When the question arose of what to set for myself, I read numerous tests and reviews. In the end, I chose between Hakkapellita 5 and Michelin X-Ice North II - both models deserve the highest rating, the final choice fell on Michelin - in terms of money, it cost less than Nokian.
With the casting, it turned out even more interesting - I was looking for an option for a friend (in my free time I am engaged in the search and delivery of tuning), I saw this Enkei casting and realized that I should take it. Yourself :-) Judge for yourself - a real JDM, classic design, very good condition ... in general, I could not resist. A friend without casting, by the way, also did not remain :-)
When I picked up the wheels, I was pleasantly surprised by their weight, or rather, lightness. For the sake of interest, I weighed the disk - it turned out 5.6 kg.
"Collected" disks with rubber and put on Fielder.
I was very pleased with the result - they hold the road as it should, excellent cross-country ability and traction. I was also pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the ride and throttle response of the car (the consequences of installing lightweight wheels). Although, to be honest, until recently, I didn’t see much point in putting casting for the winter.
