Thinking about design... Your opinion? — Toyota Crown, 2.0 liter, 1991
Frosts on the street and a bunch of things that need to be completed before the end of the year do not allow me to calmly deal with the engine. Therefore, in the evenings I collect photos on the Internet and sculpt from plasticine, since I don’t know how to draw and model in 3D. And I really want to hear your opinion.
Of course, you can’t help but be a sculptor, but you have to at least somehow materialize the thoughts that don’t let me sleep. :)
I remember the training program for the middle group of the kindergarten - the course "modeling from plasticine" (after all, it was then that I last took plasticine in my hands)
So for now, 6 ideas (photos and sketches from plasticine):
Idea No. 1
Idea #2
Idea #3
Idea #4
Idea #5
Idea #6
and more, but already probably pop
Issue price: 300 ₽full copying and it doesn’t work out ... I want to combine and at the stage of creation there are always a lot of things that change :) I just want to decide in which direction to move ...
I think it's worth inventing something of my own, and not copying from existing ones
IMHO option number 4 should be taken as a basis, because. the rest are very "old" (I really like them, but not for this project). It can be tied to the overall shape and style of the car with the least effort.
Good luck!
Idea #1 What brand is this?
In general, the picture is like a symbol of Webasto, I ask a lot, but no one knows :)
out of the question cool unit, but very "sporty" for this project, but for the next ...
I saw a lot of photos of converted Mercedes under a phantom — not impressed. but I can’t draw :( and model in 3D too :( but thinking about the design has not yet been completed (and the current has not started), everything is in the process ... nothing is clear - just the constructor "think up and assemble it yourself :)"
The fourth is generally Fashka with a muzzle from a phantom)))! Try to draw on paper, otherwise it’s not clear (!
good question.
the first stage is the restoration of the crown chassis (the appearance will change slightly - (I will practice making body kits and cutting out the gills))
the second stage is a car with a modified muzzle and back made of fiberglass, a reinforced frame, to be able to remove the roof the
third stage is lengthening (for my own wedding )
According to the main photo, I see you want to stir up a limousine? If it doesn’t work for daily movement, but if it’s for work in the field of weddings, then you can! I would also like to know what exactly you want to do and this car?
still didn’t get around to answering it ...
I’ll start by saying that all this is a hobby, I don’t set out to build a prototype - I just like the process itself. I have deadlines (although strain over time :))
and I need a car more as an attribute for photo shoots
, especially since this first one does not imply a radical change in design and design.
I will eventually master fiberglass, molar, etc., just for myself.
someone collects plastic models, and I THIS (by the way, models sometimes come out more expensive :)
Can I be a little smarter, because. I’m spinning in this area ... the first is if you lengthen then immediately, the consequences (lengthening and strengthening the frame (possibly building a new frame from scratch), lengthening the cardan, strengthening the suspension, replacing the engine 100%, a complete alteration of the interior and redrawing of the body - this is very difficult and expensive), secondly, my advice is to make the second option under the American, this is secas, fiberglass is good if you know how to work with it, the materials must be of high quality, in order for your car to weigh not much, you need to sculpt a foam model and remove the matrix, for one car it is expensive! Perhaps the body kit is not needed, I have already abandoned this idea, although anyone could have done it without any problems! Huge advice to you, from the bottom of my heart
1. Body
repainting 2. Lowered suspension (pneuma possible)
3. Good 19 or 20 chrome
4. Partial alteration of the interior (leather mug)))
My advice is to leave it in stock, just bring it to the ideal, and you will not be left without the attention of others …) Honestly, I just want you to bring the project to the end! Thanks)))!
I have read a lot on technology and seen enough. By the way, where is it better to order resins, glass mats and related chemicals? there is no time limit, so I can wait for cheaper and better quality :)
Prepare for the project a barrel of resin and a roll of glass mat)))! They are expensive (((! It’s not difficult to learn fiberglass on the net, look and try on some thread of crap, sharpen it, sand it and putty it, then sand it again, prime it, grind it and paint it, just like that)))! If anything I can!
I am not a supporter of body kits in their classical sense (reducing resistance, increasing downforce) I want something else (I can’t spin in my head and materialize yet — I’ll show you when it’s ripe :).
you just need to learn how to work with fiberglass on something. I'm not willing to take risks on my own yet :)
I’ll add a little more, you won’t surprise anyone with a body kit, but it’s easy to restore an old woman! By the way, I’ll add to my advice, the exhaust must be thought out so that it looks beautiful)! Maybe under the thresholds or dual? Need to think!
Irkutsk tuning studio! Where crown concept, not advertising! There is also a channel for the acquisition of material! So there is always a way out, there would be money)!
I have contacts in Moscow. but in Novosibirsk it will be closer :) and what is "jazz"?
In Novosibirsk, only a large batch, in Irkutsk there is a person who trades in raw materials, I can tell you the numbers, because. in Jazz they won't sell you!
I consider option 2. Since it has the most correct lines, and even more so it looks like an American muscle
