Small tuning of the rear optics - Toyota Chaser, 2.5 liter, 1998
Despite the fact that Chayzer's restyled rear optics itself looks 5-plus, the idea came to make it even more spectacular. I decided to install LEDs. It was decided to go for the simplest and cheapest option. Despite this, the effect in my opinion (and not only) turned out to be excellent. So in order:
A flexible self-adhesive red LED strip was purchased from advertisers. It is designed for power supply of 12-15 volts - what we need. I removed the lights themselves, they need to be disassembled. I will not describe the process of parsing. I can only say that the headlight housing is glued with a factory sealant such as liquid rubber. It needs to be heated to become liquid. You can use a hair dryer, but I just put the headlights in the oven and heated them up for a few minutes. After that, the sealant becomes soft and you can easily but carefully separate the headlight housing. The LED strip was glued along the inner diameter of the reflectors and after that the headlights were assembled in reverse order. I did not remove the native lamps, the only thing I did was to switch the power supply of the dimensions from lamps to LEDs. The principle of operation turned out as follows: LEDs serve as dimensions, and when we press the brake, the native lamps in the center of the rings of LEDs light up. It turned out quite effectively. Unfortunately, when I was making all this, I didn’t bother to take a picture of the process itself. So I'll post only the final result - the light of the optics with side lights.
And it turned out cool ... really, as the manufacturer provided ... carefully!
Do you really have mines installed?
turned out great! diodes with a spoiler are combined, reminiscent of a little devil)
Very good! YOU gave me an idea to think about ... Or maybe I should stir it up like that ... I like it!
