This forest was discovered by me quite by accident during one of the trophy raids. Actually, this section of the forest did not have a name, just a forest. But… VERY unusual. In every forest there are trees of curved bizarre shape. But these are single instances. And here they are in the vast majority. Sometimes they are so disfigured that it is impossible to recognize them as pines!
The reasons for the anomaly are unknown to science) The most amazing thing. that across the road the forest is completely ordinary, but here it’s just a terrible fairy tale.
Which, by the way, filmmakers did not take advantage of. According to my video posted on the Internet, the director of the film "The Forester" found this place and now the film is being shot in this area)
So, about the name. During the first expedition, I discovered a strange place in one of the clearings with no less strange objects of obviously ritual purpose, from which this name was born.

Dead end. A couple of trees were removed, quickly cut through. but then the blockage became more and more frequent and I did not want to spend the day at the logging site. In parallel, there was another road and it was decided not to look for easy ways and detours - to pass through the forest. which was done.
Before the forest and after it, we had to overcome an obstacle - a narrow bridge of slabs. Everything would be fine, but it rained all day and the surface of the bridge was covered with ice, and there were no sides at all.
Reduced. blocking and quietly-quietly forward. The river is certainly shallow, but I didn’t want to fall into it) We drove!

HM. pines are similar to Altai... those that grow in the mountains of East Kazakhstan... although they are taller and straighter of course (but we also have tall and straight ones there)... but sometimes they resemble those that grow in my homeland :) And what kind of soil is there? Trees are planted in even rows across the road. And the "enchanted" area itself is a rather narrow strip (from 100 to 500 meters) 2 kilometers long. This is what makes the place interesting - a clear localization of anomalous trees.

Somehow, on an expedition, we set up camp on the bank of a stream near a field. They set up tents, lit a fire, and then a column of sparks and flames came out of the fire! The people nearby were shocked. It turned out to be an old grenade without a fuse. The explosives burned out, but fortunately did not explode. Otherwise, it would not have seemed enough to anyone ...
