Bumper "Resurrection" — Toyota Corolla Runx, 1.5 liter, 2003
One frosty winter evening it happened that I ended up in a very narrow yard full of cars and it was necessary to turn around. Since there was very little space, I decided to brew the system: turn around with a slight movement, slightly hitting the soft cover of a snowdrift with a non-fitting bumper. I was very surprised by the loud crunch ... as a surprise, there was a concrete block in the snowdrift))) ... the bumper immediately all went apart at the seams, so as not to lose the pieces that sagged to the ground, I had to make holes and temporarily tighten with wire ... "temporarily" as usual dragged on for a long time but hands still arrived))
I gathered my thoughts and decided to try myself for the first time in the form of a bumper solderer ... I’ll say right away that as soon as I cut the wires and the bumper fell apart in my hands, the desire subsided a bit) BUT I took it, then I had to go to the end! A soldering iron and a special mesh came to the rescue, which a friend from the workshop spied for me)
After all the internal seams have been soldered, it's time to iron all the external seams with soldering irons and carefully sand them.
After that, the bumper was geometrically finished using a building hair dryer and given to the painter for preparation and painting ... here is the result)
