Diodes in the center console — logbook Toyota Corolla 2003
Like many reading this post, I'm tired of the stock green backlight. Which exit?
That's right - replacing incandescent bulbs in green caps-gan ... ah with a diode analogue.
But it's not so simple in fact! And the question is not even in the assembly / disassembly of the panel.
The hardest surface to light up is the air conditioner/blower/fan dials.
The main trick is that commercially available diodes shine in a direction, i.e. the light does not fall on the entire part of the illuminated surface, but only on a narrow area, it turns out the so-called "apple tree" in the common people.
Then there are two ways:
1. Make diode tapes around the scales (I made an order for ready-made ones - the Chinese brothers helped))). But it's not in the very near future.
2. Find diode tulips for sale (this is when there are several SMD diodes on the same base, directed in different directions)
While I went the least easy way - I installed tulips in standard places, though I had to look, by the way, in Krasnodar, these diodes were found only in one place ...
I wanted to get confused with changing the bulbs in the tidy itself - but I didn’t want to remove the arrows, and there are diodes in the drain, though not so bright.
So that's great! By the way, you are right about these round scales - dull! I have not seen such bulbs in Maykop, but I will look for them!
Let me not argue. I've already disassembled mine 6 times and again 5 times when changing mafons. Just got tired of it.
you know, for the first or second time it’s hemorrhagic, and then ... now, even with my eyes closed, I can make out the center console in 7-8 minutes) everything is simple and reliable to the point of idiocy)
small ones in radio stores are sold with two legs. Only if you don’t want them to burn every week, you need to look either with an already soldered resistance, or solder it yourself, I found it ready)))
What diodes? And then I got a diode in the Conder key! And it won’t fit into others (
If you mean the buttons for the air conditioner and heated rear window, then yes, I also installed diodes)
Yes, it’s necessary, it’s necessary :)
There are not very many problems with the tachometer (I don’t have it in stock)? I heard that there is some kind of free plug to cling to.
order opti from Vladik and that's it :) I took mine from Vladik :) without your opti :)
while the burnt ones are standing, too lazy to change, holidays =) I’ll probably put it back)
I also recently changed, also triple diodes, but they burn out quickly, not reliable (
Healthy! Well, with your new panel, the doctor himself prescribed red lamps)
Have you sold the old one yet?
Hello, it turned out cool, I also thought about diodes at one time, then I spat and ordered Koito red caps for light bulbs, I'm waiting for them to arrive.
I stupidly shoved diodes like in the pictures above, it seems that some kind of resistance hangs on them, but it’s of little use - without a voltage stabilizer they burn stably once every two months, I’m tired of constantly picking the panel, I put the bulbs back without caps, now it shines amber in tone illuminated buttons on the head.
Well, well… Previously, a guy from Moscow has already done this: www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota…/288230376151883009/#post
I don’t know about survivability, but it looked right. I'll do the same when it gets a little warmer. Come on, what resistance did you solder? =) And where exactly did you buy diodes?
Damn! I still couldn’t remove the plastic mask around the checkpoint to remove, huh?)))
