Gift for dad on his Birthday.
Greetings to everyone!
September 12 was the birthday of my father. Every year I try to invent for him a thread of interesting gift, apparently in gratitude of those holidays that parents they gave me in my childhood, well, due to the fact that it is the same authentic as I do, so the gift will have to search automaintech, and what could be nicer? :)
I agreed on the fact that his Mazda MPV, to put it mildly, crap headlights and protivotumanok. Therefore, it was decided to eliminate this disease by all possible means: to Polish the head light and install a powerful advanced anti-fog optics.
Burnished lights.
Glass headlights MPV have a tendency very quickly to become yellow. We have repeatedly polished under emery, but they still turn yellow.
After testing the chemicals, I was left with a good tool for polishing headlights. This discoursive Polish easily and quickly able to transform the color optics.
Apply ordinary microfiber:
Erasable clean
Voalya!
Immediately did the second headlight, but I realized that missing something...
Decided that a good solution is to pollinate a little chrome:)
To
Polish
It turned out quite good:
Lights
But this is of course all a joke. For a really good result, needed to change the lights or put additional. The search led me to the website hella-dv.ru where I have long had my eye on Hella Jumbo 220
Judging by the figures, the headlamp is what you need for permanent use in urban environments
Headlight cuts the top part of the beam, which prevents dazzling of the oncoming flow. The same headlight has a very decent angle horizontal light and right "checkbox" providing roadside lighting and pedestrian safety.
Installed it's very simple, especially having already announced the transaction. That's what eventually happened:
In my opinion very unusual for an MPV, but authentic to say the classic car of the year:)
Dad was very happy and I am glad of it:)
All happy, productive week and fun weekends!
PS See you at D1 GP Asia Pacific at PrimRing:)
Try the headlights after polishing, cover with several layers of lacquer. And they will leave your Polish look.
I'm with Oleg talked more than once when the car was painted:) Interesting man, follows him everywhere))
This method is practicing "Uncle Oleg", known in my circles, auto painter, by the way on his channel there is a video with a detailed description and demonstration)
A good son! Polish headlights for the money simply super has three years to use it
Any large obrazivnaya Polish, Yes, even toothpaste. the process is the same abrasive and friction!
Therefore, yellow. Plastic from the factory covered with a protective UV varnish. You polishing erased. Now the plastic is quickly scratched and yellowing from UV rays.
