Donor. We collect under the hood. h_4 — logbook Toyota Mark II, 1990
He continued to prepare the engine compartment and its individual elements for the swap of the new engine. After the cross beam was completed, they started restoring the steering rack. It was completely cleaned and painted, new grease was also clogged and everything was put back together. I also dismantled everything under the hood, began to launder with the help of Vince, and then with water with fairies and powder. For a very long time I scrubbed and cleaned everything, there was real sweat in the pit. But after washing, I was not very pleased with the result, since the engine compartment was painted very poorly from the factory and is also full of smudges in some places. The Japs obviously saved money. First I painted the GTZ and tees, and then I thought that I needed to slightly update some places under the hood with paint, for example, the niche of the left fender liner was in a terrible state because that battery acid leaked out and corroded the paint. As a result, I was so carried away by the process that I disguised everything that was possible and painted the entire engine compartment. I bothered so much that I even unscrewed the bolts by half and glued them with masking tape. In general, I was satisfied with the result. The most tedious task was not masking each bolt and wire, and then removing the adhesive tape, which stuck tightly! the result of the work can be seen in the photo)
Well, then I also restored the vacuum brake booster, assembled everything and screwed up the motor beam. now everything is ready to install the motor, and what I plan to do in the near future.
For comparison, here is how it was before my intervention)
Well, I can guess what it was ... when I replaced the engine, it was itching to do everything quickly and I didn’t really point it out, and plus the car is used daily, so it’s not very clean under the hood :)
Before the intervention, I still washed with a carcher slightly) And so it was a complete srach!
even before the intervention, it wasn’t so dirty with you ... and now you can only drive the car out on sunny days :)
Well, handsome! If we do everything, then it is better to do it qualitatively and fully!
Everything is painted here, and for example, I polished the aluminum pipes by hand.
shikaka! everything glitters and pleases the eye, but what do you clean the luminosity with?
