how did you connect the camera? Does it turn on when reversing or does it run all the time? can you be more specific?

I used + going to the reversing lights, one wire to power the camera, the second to a special wire in the monitor. Thus, when reverse gear is turned on, the camera and video input on the monitor are turned on.
