Christmas night for Horey and me did not pass in the most calm way. At about 2 am on January 7, 2011, I was unceremoniously woken up by the alarm key fob yelling throughout the apartment. Looking out the window, I found something like the following picture - Khorya, lonely pressed against the curb in the most remote part of the yard (dead-end "caecum"), and next to him is a TATA special cargo transport. Frankly, waking up, I stood for 30 seconds and stared blankly at this whole oil painting. Only a minute later, the first sensible thought from the moment of awakening was born in my sleepy little head - I had to put on a shement and blow into the street, figure out what was going on. Until recently, I had hoped in my heart that everything would work out. Holidays anyway :)

But it was not there. Still, there were no "victims". None of the people, of course, was hurt, but the technology got it. So, below the picture looked something like this.

Of the damage visible at that time (from Hori, essno) there was:
- The right corner of the front bumper is a through hole.
— Slightly wrinkled, but not punched, windshield washer fluid reservoir.
— Slightly (not visible in the photo) jammed right front fender and zarapka-attrition (not through, only on the top layer of the paintwork).
— Scratch-attrition on the right front lamp (smoothly turning into a bruise and a scratch on the wing).

In total, the parsing operation (I will not go into details, because I value your time) took about 4 hours this night (this is the expectation of the traffic police - about 2 hours, 1 hour to process all insurance papers with the TATA driver, and 1 hour for seagulls at home and thinking about the situation).

In the morning, on a fresh head and with good lighting (by the way, Christmas morning turned out to be glorious, sunny - beautiful!), I once again considered the scope of future work. In addition to the above, I also noticed a suspicious Kotska and a jam on the right front turn signal (which is located on the wing itself).

Apparently I got it too.

By all means, by hook or by crook, that night I tried to treat everything that happened as philosophically as possible. To some extent, I succeeded. The mood, the stump is clear, turned out to be partially spoiled, where without it. But in general, everything is not as scary as it might seem to a hot head.

Of the serious (in my subjective and non-professional opinion) damage, except that the bumper needs to be replaced. The wing, as far as I can tell, can be straightened without much difficulty. The paintwork is damaged, this will certainly spoil the picture, but it is damaged on the surface itself, because. corrosion is not to be feared. Well, a replacement turn signal, because. cracked a little. By the way, I wanted to change it anyway, to white.

I will make one more confession - in more than 6 years of owning a driver's license, for the first time I had to deal with all this system of registration of an accident and proceedings with insurance. With traffic police calls and such long waits. And besides, in the middle of the night :) I won’t call myself the most accurate carrier, but so far God has been merciful. And here, you know, it's not my fault. Although ... It was possible to choose a more reliable place for parking, I agree, but this is a completely different story.

On the results of the analysis with the traffic police (on the 9th I will go to them for some kind of seal) and the insurance will report separately as the issues are resolved.

PS. I hope to get to the master tonight or tomorrow morning (in fact, because of this, I returned to the city from vacation earlier) and at the same time stun him with this news, we will start looking for and ordering the necessary spare parts and evaluate the work.
