Stage 7 (Brake discs, and taillights) - Toyota Celica, 2.0 liter, 1990

7- Toyota Celica 20 1990

In general, the work was done back in early December, but there is no strength to spread everything.

They took away from the paint brushes, the rear lower bar, painted well! and taillights, already polished ... The only thing is that everything was photographed with a flash, so the tinting is not particularly visible.

In the sun, it gives off a little red, in the shade, the lights seem black, in general, everything is very simple. I also have tinted lights on the eclipse, 1 layer of black base + varnish. And during the day the stop signal and dimensions are visible and at night everything is just fine.

They brought their own fuel filter :) And also tried on brake discs from the 205th Selick. The 17th coels refused to get up, tried to put on the 18th ones, they got up perfectly :) you can see everything in the photo :)

When installing the bar, I had to cut out the rubber gaskets so that it would not rattle and moisture would not get on the bolts. The process is moving! ! !

Well, I have a stock weight of 1270kg, Andriukh. plus noise, plus music… the same weight comes out as yours :)

Well, in the end I decided I would collect a hodgepodge, one caliper (for 4 pistons), most likely Brembo, other rotors, third pads. and I’ll come up with a thread in the back too ... in general, I’ll try to manage the budget as efficiently as possible and put good reasonable brakes for reasonable money :)

Seryoga, in my opinion you take it too cool) maybe it makes sense to look for simpler brakes, believe me, 4 pistons are enough for us to slow down, and the weight of the car is 1330 kg ... =)

I’m already tormenting myself for the second week with thoughts about project-mu brakes that have sunk into my head, the kit costs 130 thousand rubles ... the amount is indecently large = (if I set a goal, I’ll save up only in a year, and until then I’ll really do nothing with the car due to lack of funds =(

Yes, I agree, spacers are needed in this case. BUT we didn’t do them, the fact is that when installing a heavy ID on the 185th, the disk rests on the ball joint, we undercut the ball joint so that it sits down, we didn’t make spacers. They also finalized the calipers for the rims themselves, because again, they need a special departure right away, ET I will say later, we just bought the rims a couple of days ago for 17 under it. I'll post everything soon.

I did not advise you to install discs from the supra, because you will have to sharpen, and there may be different errors. Yes, and even depending on what calipers are, we have the whole set now from the 205th turbo Selick. calipers and discs.

my brother already has the same brakes in his car, he has the 16th body of the Selik, it brakes perfectly, I really like it, the only minus is overload :) my head starts spinning if you slow down a lot.

Are the brake pads ok? Did you do any spacers between them and the hub?
I am advised to grind off the Supra wheels to 315mm, tk. native 205s allegedly have an unsuitable offset for the 185th
