Preparations for the drift season 2011. Part one — Toyota Altezza, 4.0 liter, 1998
So, it's time to show the cards. Partially )
The car for some time stood under the sky, waiting for a place to be vacated. Now two of our three cars are writhing there, my Tezza and sky RGC
First of all, Merry Christmas everyone! And forgive me, but I sinned :( Today I spent half a day digging with the car, on such and such a holiday ...
To date, bought 70% of all necessary tyunyachki. I already have something, something is on the way, something is yet to be ordered.
I immediately apologize for the quality of the photos, everything was done on an iPhone and there is no correct lighting - in the garage I am a mechanic, not a photographer.
I ordered and bought hard springs, 14kg, I plan to put them on the front, and the current front ones (12kg) on the back. This should be correct, given that my motor is very heavy. I will leave the suspension to KTS, I hope it will last for the season.
Also, the Garret 3582 turbine is already waiting in the service, in one of the photos I put a stock turbine from 1JZ-GTE VVTi (Mark2 100-110, Verossa, Chaser 100) next to it, on these machines the baby gives 280 honest horses. I plan 470 forces. Dimensions for comparison =)
I also bought a collector for one turbine, an external wastegate (no photo). It is necessary to purchase a brain, injectors and rail, I'll do it as I go to work.
The main thing is to have time to do everything before the start of the season! I don’t want to start the year on a semi-assembled car like that year and suffer all the stages.
Today I eliminated the cause of the "triple" of the motor, the problem was in one candle. I also partially dismantled the interior, removed the lining of the Sparco Prodrive bucket to wash at home, at the same time I will clean the OMP belts. Along the way, I began to remove sound insulation from the floor, cleaned off about half, it turned out 5 kilograms =) I work as a building hair dryer and a chisel.
But that's not all =) Stay tuned )
Issue price: 65 000 ₽Understood, thank you very much for the info and explanations, I will follow your advice! ;)
Z.Y. — Of course, I asked about the muzzle, behind me the collapse is not an option to change, you understand — a continuous bridge :)
before I put minus 4.5 degrees camber, it's not stock levers of course. Toe played at one time but decided to stop at zero. I used to do convergence in plus, it turned out that as soon as you turn the steering wheel, the inner wheel is already in the turn. Quick initial turning, in short. But later I began to seek the elimination of the Ackermann angle and make the descent to zero. Feel free to experiment, by the way.
Rear convergence zero, of course. And my camber is about minus 1.5 degrees, I know that some put zero camber at the back, but it seems to me that then there will be too much oversteer
And in general, all these suspension settings, wheels, spacers, levers and even relief - this is EVERYTHING just to find the balance of the car between the face and the ass, as soon as you understand that you can hold the car when you drive sideways, immediately stop adjusting and train, because rolling on one, even if not the best configuration is VERY important, more important than ideal settings 1000%
Thanks! ;)
1 bar to 3500 is just a gift, if it really turns out like this in real life, it will be very profitable, of course ... I look forward to the first tests in the spring! ;)
About Shumkov: right, hold on! The road will be mastered by the walking one, figly ... :)
It's not even about its weight, IMHO, but about the material itself, which is not fucking needed in a sports car, and besides, God forbid, a fire ... this garbage burns and smokes very cool!
Z.Y. - I’ll ask an off-topic question, if I may ... you were at the breakup stand 100%, is there any data on the angles?
It’s just interesting to see what parameters are set on foreign cars for such competitions, there’s nothing to start from, but you need to assemble the suspension and order steering rods for the rail.
thanks bro)
will pass over the "zero bar" mark already at 2200-2500 and go out by 1 kg of boost at about 3300-3500. The motor is 3 liters, after all, it gives a lot of air.
The arrival is hard, but for drifting it is the very thing!
As for the Shumka, it’s a mega tedious job, I agree, you rip it off the floor and think every 10 minutes, “well, to hell with it, I’m only 50 grams per minute, I’m taking off weight and there’s a lot of crap, maybe what for?†=) but I'm holding on!
happy holiday)
Damn, just yesterday I came to see what's new, but it's empty ... and today HOP - and here it is! :)
The snail is fat :) How long does it take to boost?
It's just a decent size, the arrival of a single-turbo will be sharp, it's worth believing :)
With Shumkov native fellow that got confused, the work is tedious, but necessary. When I tore it all off the floor with mine, I cursed everything in the world. First, just with a chisel, then with a hairdryer ... and then he spat, put a round cord brush on the grinder and go ... the entire right side in the cabin was in this fine slag, like a rubber crumb, but then he took everything down to the metal and pretty quickly, at least faster than it was with a hair dryer :)
I'm following your project with great interest, hammer!
Z.Y. - happy holiday to you again;)
Dudelka just PPC) I've been waiting for something for a long time and here you go!) And what else is ordered?
Will the car still change in appearance?)
it is DTM, I think that he is the most aggressive of all! There will be a correct combination of DTM and JDM =)
serious buyers! I am very glad that not everyone is in hibernation in Hawaii! a good start… as I understand it, we still have a very cool DTM style ahead of us?
in general, if only there was enough money! and I see you have a fighting mood!
The snail is straight arrr) ) good luck in the construction) and this. . . patience with tearing off any shmakurdyaki =) ) ) )
Such good nishtyaki ...
The motor will gobble up such a snail will be mad (an analogy with the French) :)
the snail is good. I wish you patience in removing Shumkov and good luck! :) waiting for the second part. Well, I hope to visit RDS next year. as a spectator :)
come to the competition, let's talk, take a look)
Voronezh is not far away, after all
