I want to share information.
I'll start with the engine. A diesel engine is certainly an economical thing, but it needs to be filled with oil as much as 11.4 liters. The volume of the oil filter is 1.3 liters. An oil change (according to the Castrol website) is recommended to be done every 10,000 km (or 12 months), if the machine is operated in normal mode, and if in severe mode, then after 5,000 km or 6 months. It is difficult to say what Castrol experts consider severe operating conditions, but Toyota recommends changing the oil in a diesel engine every 5,000 km.
We go deeper.
Differential, rear, with differential lock - 3.2 liters. Change after 40,000 km.
Gearbox, manual. The volume is 2.7 liters. Change after 40,000 km. Castrol recommends the following oils (hereinafter referred to as Castrol's recommendations, although I don't use this oil myself): SAF-XO 75W-90, TAF-X 75W-90, TAF-XS 75W-90, Syntrax Universal 75W-90.
Transfer case. Volume 1.3 liters. Change every 40,000 km. Oil SAF-XO 75W-90, TAF-X 75W-90, TAF-XS 75W-90, Syntrax Universal 75W-90.
Differential, front (independent front suspension). Volume 1.6 liters. Change every 40,000 km. EPX 80W-90 , Hypoy LS 90.
Brake fluid is recommended to be checked every 10,000 km, changed every two years. The volume of liquid is unknown. Recommended: Response Super DOT 4 and Response DOT 4.
The fluid in the hydraulic clutch system must be checked every 20,000 km. It is filled in the same way as in the brake system. The volume is also unknown.
Power steering. Volume 0.8-1 liter (probably depends on the length of the hoses) ) ) The level must be controlled every 20,000 km. Recommended: ATF TQ DIII or TQ-D.
In wheel bearings, it is recommended to change the grease every 80,000 km, and in cardan shafts (crosses) every 20,000 km. Although Toyota recommends changing the grease of the crosspieces every 10,000 km. Again, after a hard off-road or after overcoming the fords, it’s better to syringe the crosses right away, I don’t wait for any deadlines.
The cooling system holds 12.8-14.1 liters and the coolant must be changed at least once every two years.
