It's time to change the oil. — Toyota Corolla, 1.6 liter, 2005

Another very good thing he did for his Toyota was to change the engine oil. I bought the oil before the new year in the store, I also received a coupon for a free replacement (very convenient). The filter came from the old owner, he was waiting for his time on a shelf in the garage. What surprised the duck is the size of the filter. I expected a filter so a filter, well, at least not less than a dozen, with a liter jar. And here's a filter. Our serviceman Kolesovsky changed the oil, he just groaned a bit when he unscrewed the filter (it looked like some kind of jock was twisting it). But in general, everything went quickly and painlessly.
Only byad, there is no hatch on the protection to remove the filter. And my friend has one on the hatch. Maybe I do not have the original protection? Therefore, a small part of the oil got into the protection. Immediately I was finally decided to wash the engine compartment. What was almost immediately done by a friend near the garage. The process consisted of two stages: 1. spraying some kind of chemistry 2. Washing off this chemistry with a Karcher-type washer. After the hood is closed, the car starts and goes to the garage. Where it finally dries and wipes.
And it’s so nice to see — you open the hood to check the oil level and other specials. liquids (after 10-ki habit), and there it is clean. And shame and disgrace to not washed dirty people.

You can't spoil Motor porridge with oil!
But I don’t recommend washing under the hood, there are a lot of electronics.

Yes, and what do you need: checkers or go?

How many times I washed, and I will wash. Nothing wrong with that.
What about checkers?
