Gasoline consumption — Toyota Corona, 1.8 liter, 1999

With the onset of winter, for some reason, the consumption of gasoline has increased a lot, we don’t have time to refuel: you fill Chervonets, it’s enough for 60 kilometers ... According to my calculations, this is about 17 liters per 100 km. against 10l/100km which she ate in the warm season!

Of course, I understand that it is winter, frosts, but still you must agree that this is too much, not 7 liters should increase your appetite! It stands in the garage at a temperature of -10 degrees, without autostart — sat down, warmed up to a working temperature and drove off … I’ve already broken my whole head what it could be!

The day before yesterday they did the diagnostics, the engine did not show any errors. A familiar master said that it is necessary to flush the injectors and replace the oxygen sensor, since this is almost a "khan". We went to buy a flushing fluid and a sensor for Toyota, we went to the garage to the master, he checked the resistance of the sensor, it was about 5 ohms, he said that it would not work, it was too small a figure, he advised me to take a sensor from the "Nine", here it will be like just right, resistance oklo 9 ohm should be) We went changed. Now let's see how she will eat, if even this does not help, then what the hell can be.

Consumption: -
Diagnostics = 500r -
Liquid for flushing injectors = 460r -
Oxygen sensor = 1 330r
- Flushing = 600r
- Sensor replacement (wire soldering) = 300r
-------------
Total = 3 190r

Issue price: 3 190 ₽ Mileage: 147650 km

By the way, yes, the sensor dulls something, you fill it up - it rises, you ride, you ride, it keeps the level, it stays a little muffled - the arrow immediately drops, yesterday I drove 30 km in one position of the arrow, then I already look at the mileage that the light should already light up and after a couple more km, lo and behold, it burns)

So I almost don’t look at it anymore, the odometer taxis)

In any case, this is the necessary procedure) Unless, of course, the sensor will not drive)

Well, it’s generally just such an excellent expense, I’ll tell you)
The handle drives =)

I read your bortovik, I decided to measure the consumption of my car. The speedometer does not work, so I measured it at proven distances over the years. According to rough estimates, about 8.5l / 100km came out. (the distance from home to the city is 54 km + for work in the city 3-4 km) I travel this route every day, total: about 110 km per day. On Monday, I filled up 17l -AI92 (400r) enough for 2 trips to the city of 220km.

Eee!)
After the repair, Ten of the 92nd was flooded, it was enough for about 83 kilometers, according to my calculations, this is 12l / 100km, this is already a normal result, in winter something)
Filled yesterday on the 95th also ten, drove already 90km - this is approximately 11l / 100km ...
For money, the same thing happens, but they say that AI92 starts up better)

Conclusion: the procedure was useful for the patient! They would have hung more on gasoline) How much do
you have on the handle now ?!

How much does the machine eat after repair?

They cut off the chip from the native one and twisted it according to some scheme)))
In general, something like in the comment below)))

Bosch 0-258-006-537

I have it on 7A, it works fine)

"Make an adapter using additional connectors, or cut off the plug from the original sensor and screw it onto a new one :). Connect the wires according to this scheme (Bosch<->Toyota): white, white = black, black (heated, polarity is not important), black = blue (signal), gray = white (ground)
The wires of LZ-s are made of some kind of heat-resistant material, so it's easier to just twist them together than solder them :)"
