Problems with the stove O_o — logbook Toyota Cynos 1996

It all started with the fact that in October I realized that the stove was not actually working for some reason, although a few weeks ago everything was ok. I probably suffered for a couple of weeks, until a friend decided to look ... it turned out there was no antifreeze. I thought strangely. It’s not under the car, it doesn’t go into the engine either. Then where? On this note, and scored for a while, added antifreeze and it became warm again, cheers!
Then the cold came and I began to understand that somehow the stove does not heat up, even with antifreeze. Decided to change the thermostat. Well, from the beginning, in one place of week 2, he walked, and did not come, then on the existential it turned out that for a month it was not clear what they were waiting for, and the cold intensified (((As a result, the thermostat was found in the most unexpected place ... in AUTO 49, under the order in 3 days!

The outgoing antifreeze remained a mystery ... they advised me to change the radiator cap because it just fell apart and, by the way, I’ll tell you, it seemed to help

In the evening I stopped at my favorite service, GT-Shop,

     Toyota Cynos 15 1996

and there, with a friendly company, they took up the car ... it seems that the thermostat on it has not been changed since the moment it left the assembly line (although the old one worked flawlessly), when they put in a new one, I had to drill out one pin. It broke)

The antifreeze was changed, the thermostat was changed, the radiator cap was changed, but the effect was so-so ... the stove did not work normally ... The option with the stove radiator remains ... (

Well, thank you, I made you happy))))) And you probably will find a native used one?

N
NS Sponger 27.02.22

when I bought it, one thing became known — the worst thing is the stove radiator.
"you can pick up everything, except for the stove radiator. It doesn't fit for anything"
Therefore, fasten yourself ...

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Wow! You need to look for it, because it’s not very pleasant to drive like that, it’s not cold of course, but it’s not very warm either (

s
shtuka83 27.02.22

Only if it’s from parsing. Although it’s also problematic (((

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Oh yeah ... it's incomparable)) this is a present from the previous owner)) and instead of an expansion barrel, there is also some kind of canister)

v
vovka273 27.02.22

smiled a piece of canister covering the fuse box))))

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

It’s not there along the way)))))
The air intake is in place, it was just removed when the thermostat was changed) but you need to order an expansion one) there’s a lot of things missing here, I don’t know what the poor did with it ((

v
vovka273 27.02.22

Oh, yes, I didn’t even notice ... a poor machine (neither an air intake, nor an expansion valve.
By the way, I don’t see the ABS unit in its place ...

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Yes ... I think it’s worth the risk of flushing the radiator, it definitely won’t get worse))
You need to buy either a cover or a completely different fuse box, since it’s not ice at all (
And now what to do with abs in general xs O_o

R
Romka020 27.02.22

you can try to flush the stove radiator, it is not always washed, but it’s worth a try, suddenly you’re lucky)
the canister above the fuses also smiled)
but the fact that the ABS is not very good, the former owner needs to tear off his hands.

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Listen, when removing the stove radiator, do you need to drain the antiphrase or not? I just have no idea how it’s done right now (
Well, maybe next week I’ll still be able to gather someone) otherwise it’s not a club, but some kind of lazy people)

R
Romka020 27.02.22

I think if you try, it should work out)
maybe my friend zhu-kk-ito will agree to go by the time he gets sick, he won’t go anywhere (

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

You reassured me, I’ll try to do it this or next week, otherwise I don’t like it at all (((
Hmmm ... well, I’ll try to slow it down, but some of us are not all active at all (((

R
Romka020 27.02.22

I didn’t see what he washed with, in my opinion with water)
well, I ran back and forth with them 10 times, but I washed a lot of things)
and the stove is now working fine)
well, I have sex right now)) so I can’t yet, although if you organize , then write, maybe I can come)

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

What about washing? Dull water? It will be necessary to try, otherwise it’s somehow cold in the car (((
When will we organize a meeting of cynosovodov?
We should find it) as well as the abs block, although without abs it’s much calmer to drive)

R
Romka020 27.02.22

father in the service washed the radiators of the stove from the extreme, in which it worked only when you accelerate well, after washing in the car Tashkent)
I think the cover can be bought separately ...
and you can look for abs on parsing, I think there is)

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Hmmm ... well, that means somewhere with salt because the antifreeze is new, less than a thousand drove) Thank you!

R
Romka020 27.02.22

today I learned from my father, he said that you need to drain the antifreeze, and the stove radiator is in the cabin)

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Well, even for advice and what you will try to find out) otherwise I don’t like this cold in the car

R
Romka020 27.02.22

yes, for nothing) I didn’t know yet)

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Thanks a lot! I really want to know)
Well, you still have to slow everyone down))

R
Romka020 27.02.22

yes, I don’t know myself, I’ll ask tomorrow and write here then)
yes, I should, I have never come to meetings)

R
Romka020 27.02.22

dpeshkin

It’s not an option to remove it there, because it will be necessary to remove the entire front panel, of course, the service will charge a lot of money for this, maybe it’s a very hemorrhoid occupation (
Maybe just try to change the antifreeze and rinse it 3 times by flushing the cooling system like hi-gear or wynns and dist with water, I’m sure what will flow out of there immeasurably, at least it leaked out for me)))

By the way, in 1996, ABS was not set to 1.3, so don’t warm your head))

well, you can’t wash everything with such a wash, it’s better to spend more time, but do it with high quality)

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Well, I won’t be the only one to do this, I have a favorite service, so I’ll come there, take a place, ask for tools and I will periodically run to them and ask what and how)))

d
dpeshkin 27.02.22

There may still be such an option that the damper closes completely, because there is no salon and any garbage there clogs everything that is possible, so disassembly is of course better, but I can’t imagine a girl doing such things, it’s fantastic)))

R
Reddy-Ann 27.02.22

Thank you
! cool, but they told me that she had ABS O_o

OOOO what a competent report ... I look forward to continuing ... it looks like the stove is a disease of cynos ((((

Hello, holders, sufferers and lovers of Qin! )

Winter! Brr! I also suffer from a poorly functioning stove ... Apparently, the years are taking their toll ... I assume that the stove radiator is completely clogged due to the fact that the antifreeze has not been changed for a long time, because it was changed a week ago, there was only rust ...

Today, despite the absence of a warm box, I decided to deal with this matter, my butt gets cold, although I bought an electric hoodie :-D

I decided also because before that I had killed a couple of days for the repair-modding of door handles, all this happened on the street, and somehow hopes warm, in general, my hands are used to tinkering with 20-degree (and higher) frost in railroads...

Before starting to dig in the direction of the stove radiator, I checked the thermostat, it turned out to be working.

Further, I started with a simple one, unscrewed the glove box, found two "pieces" ... By opening it, it turned out that the damper housing (fence outside / inside the cabin) with a fan is located on the left, on the right, a housing is docked to this housing, in which the air conditioner radiator is located ... It becomes clear that you have to remove the panel completely ...

Together with the autopsy, a stove radiator was found! "Aha!" I thought! What HE (the radiator) thought, I can only guess. But so far I have been able to reach it with my hand and make sure that it really sucks warm!

I unscrewed all the screws of the front panel, unscrewed the tidy, the panel does not give in, apparently something else is holding it behind the tidy ...

In general, the day is running out. Doing something further is problematic, it's getting dark, it's time to go home... Tomorrow I'll continue and unsubscribe;)

Yeah ... it’s hard. And with analysis and with sensible advice ...

K
KrauseV 27.02.22

I'm just afraid to be alone with my "third half") When there is someone to take advice from and whom to help, everything will be easier! All the same, we have little Qin in Russia, which makes it a little hard!

K
KrauseV 27.02.22

Good evening! And he is really kind!
Somewhere after 5 hours of long tinkering with the removal of the panel and everything that prevented this, I pulled out the stove radiator! In one fell swoop, I also acquired the skills of a gynecologist (contact! :-D). These Japanese didn't think that some Siberian guy would ever take apart the panel :-D

In short, the radiator purchased from the analysis turned out to be not quite what we needed. It is from the 52nd body, and their holes through which antifreeze is pumped are located closer to each other than on our Qin. This is first. Secondly, it turned out to be aluminum and there were no nozzles on it, so it could have been slightly bent and, perhaps, everything would have grown together ... It's all lyrics!

I twist in the hands of the hero of the occasion, I think, to blow with a compressor with some water, so there is no such thing at hand. I didn't think I'd figure it out myself. I took it to work, a friend suggested that I need to use a ramrod, at least for peace of mind! On the side opposite to the nozzles, the plug is soldered on three sides with tin. I decided to try to take it apart. Unfortunately, there was no tinker (this is the one that needs to be heated on a gas burner). I took a 40-watt soldering iron - crap two! I took a soldering station, blew at maximum speed (480 degrees), progress began, the tin becomes plasticine, if you still touch it with a soldering iron, it melts! In short, he quietly began to remove pieces of tin, got to the bottom of a copper ribbon, which, as it turned out, was superimposed on the seam, soldered on the edges, and the whole thing was still poured with a layer of tin on top. Took off the tape soldering iron under the constant action of the station freed the seam from tin, ready. We bend the plug and see the radiator channels. In some you can see the sand, some seem normal. Why guess?! Took the canvas from a hacksaw for metal, not included! I took it off along 2-3 millimeters on sandpaper, now just right! I walked through the channels, two turned out to be tightly packed with some kind of garbage. The canvas is not included in any, even tapping on the butt does not help. I took a piece of thin wire (20 centimeters), made small bends along the entire length, inserted one end into the drill chuck, put the other end into the clogged channels, wiggled, then pierced them with a cloth by tapping. Everything! I went to wash. Passing hot water through the channels, he rubbed the canvas in them 2 more times. I spent another hour and a half to solder the radiator back. In general, the daylight hours ended on this, I went home on the public ...) Tomorrow I will revive my Qin! What happens, I will definitely write!

In the evening I will read the entire report and I will definitely contact you, because I have a dubak in the car (((yesterday there was a meeting of cynos, I sat in a warm cynos and realized that I urgently need to do something!

URRAAAAA! COMRADES!

It's hot in the car!
Today I even managed to put the panel and screw all the shnyaga! :) And went like a guy on his swallow!

Now I know how and what to shoot to save time! So contact anyone who wants to get to the radiator, I'll tell you what's there, but how!
