A little bit about installing an oil cooler on the engine — logbook Toyota Mark II 2000

       Toyota Mark II 30 2000

They asked me more than once, so I decided to post a photo of what I have and tell a little.

Bought was coolerkit noname, made in China with a spacer in place of the standard filter and the removal of the oil filter to another location.
The length of the hoses was just right. Maslokuler installed between the intercooler and radiator kondeya.
The relocate has two holes for pressure and oil temperature sensors.

But later, the oil cooler hose frayed the kondeya tube ... So, in a good way, you need to isolate them.

The oil filter is conveniently set, changing the oil is now finally on getting your hands dirty.

blow it out, yeah =) ) ) ) ) in short, I’ll take Chinese for myself, give 15-17 pieces for greddy into scrap =)

Because it is difficult to drain the oil from the cooler, then once after installation it filled in about 7 liters, instead of 5.4 in the usual version. And now, when replacing, it merges in the same way as always with a little more than 5 liters. I fill up the same amount.
Because I change the oil often, then I don’t bother that the oil is not completely changed. Although, of course, it is better to change it completely, but it is difficult to dismantle the cooler every time.
The hoses do not flow, the main thing is to tighten them in moderation, you can also easily tighten them. When they twisted, they spun quite easily further. It would most likely burst if it kept spinning.
If the brand is not important, you can safely take Chinese coolers.
Blow it blue and it's almost greddy. Plus, new ones are cheaper than second-hand Japanese ones.
The only thing is that Japanese relocations come with a thermostat, but here it is not.
But in summer it is not needed, and in winter I put plastic in front of the cooler and the oil does not cool down so much.

How much more oil are you adding now? I also want to put myself, but I think. Chinese hoses don't leak? the price of cooler kits in China and Japan varies greatly, so I think, but I’ll find out the opinion of the person who has already installed

nothing complicated.
The main thing is not to confuse the hoses, and not to tighten the connections when tightening, they are aluminum.

I bought myself exactly the same device =) 19-row ala Trust … now I’ll connect it … tell me if it’s difficult to do this and are there any difficulties with this? Thank you in advance!

I had black on two brands, all depending on the color of the body

f

I'm definitely not broken.
I think everyone is

b
badmad1 28.02.22

Question: why do you have the central part of the TV (where the headlights are attached) painted black?
The thing is, I have the same problem. Everyone says that * bysh. :(

f
fourcam 28.02.22

healthy!
the sequence is better such that first the oil is relocated, then the cooler, then the return to the engine.
I used to have it connected differently, cooler, relocate, motor. Because of this, the oil gauge showed the temperature of the oil after the cooler, which is not entirely correct. Now I turned it on in a different way, the average temperature is 90 degrees. became. It used to be 85.

Hello! And what is the scheme for the correct installation of hoses stock-place-cooler-transfer?

f
fourcam 28.02.22

will never hurt. Yesterday I gave 0-200 twice in a row, oil immediately 97 gr. became. Without a cooler, I think everything was 110-115.

Does not ooze, fittings are normal. Fragile only, I had one broken off due to a broken hose, I noticed in time. 3 liters of oil leaked out.

a
advan75 28.02.22

Now I have 90-95-100 with a calm ride. So I’m thinking about whether to put it or not ... How is the quality of the nabots, where does the oil ooze?

f
fourcam 28.02.22

vsmysle fittings where? there is no difference, but it is better to the side so that the oil can be drained from it.

A
Andry1JZ 28.02.22

Hello, does it matter if the cooler is horizontal or vertical?

f
fourcam 28.02.22

This is still the same e%la, change the oil yourself with a filter in a regular place)))

Cooler take the most minimal!
The motor needs cold water and hot oil, these are the best modes for it.
So the cooler is only against overheating.

To be honest, I never changed the oil myself, I drove it where I bought oil, the replacement is free, so I decided to replace it myself last weekend, climbed in, unscrewed the nut, doused myself from head to toe with oil (I took, like, a funnel with a hose and a bottle 5 liters, but it flooded so much that .), proepsya 2 hours without a puller in a narrow pit with a filter. After these adventures, I look with lust at the remote filter kit and cooler. You have a good detailed post and comments on where it is better to put the thermostat, and I will do it. Another would be to understand how layered the cooler is, where the line between norms and bust is.

k
kushpayev 28.02.22

So did you change hoses and fittings to China too?

f
fourcam 28.02.22

Has been serving for 8 years. I changed the hoses, and fittings, and what will happen to the bag, it is the simplest.

k
kushpayev 28.02.22

Well, how is he, is the Chinese whale still in business? Over the years of operation, a good indicator of reliability will turn out.
There is an opinion that it is necessary to put a strictly original with a thermostat, but I myself have China, so I wonder if the product passed the stress test :))))

R
RomanIRV 28.02.22

reassured =)

f
fourcam 28.02.22

Greetings!
The pressure never changed. What is on the 1J pump, what is on the 2J.
Our oil pumps are powerful

R
RomanIRV 28.02.22

good evening! can you tell me about pressure? hasn't changed? I’ve installed it for myself, it’s still true, the pipes come from the spacer, well, that is, without transferring the filter. the length turned out to be somewhere around 1.20 + -
I doubt that the crush will sag, I saw that your nozzles are long, does the crush sag?

M

Sometimes connected) high-frequency vibration from the engine goes, is transmitted to the body as a hum. People clog and fasten everything through dampers. I decided to figure out what the hell.)

f
fourcam 28.02.22

No. How can this be related?

M
MaxRnd 28.02.22

Hello. Is there any rumble/vibration from the RVD after the oil is warmed up?

f
fxfind 28.02.22

I'm just facing a choice to take Japan as a farpost or dial China. Although it feels like the price will not differ much, and of course Japan is better than the kit, the only thing that can only change the hoses is not a fact. They say that 20 year old Japan hoses are much better than today

f
fourcam 28.02.22

Healthy!
Didn't notice any problems.
Now the relocation is in another place, below

f
fxfind 28.02.22

Greetings, tell me, with such a high location of the filter, the oil reaches it, there are no problems with the run. And do not tell me what brand the radiator is all the same

f
fourcam 28.02.22

There is

T
Tie100 28.02.22

Is there a difference between up/down fittings?
