With such exploitation, beauty fades into the background. The main thing is that it is strong and reliable, which is done.

The main photo is super!

Yeah, and a little more money, nerves, strength, his and his wife,
But it all justified itself.

That's what I thought too, I put my clubs in front of my eye.
I tried it locally, scalded it, and when he jumped out onto the track, he started walking like that, I thought that he had broken his skis, everything is fine on the ground. Therefore, the castor ruled.

I still do not understand what the tsimus is! The front axle went farther from the transfer case flange, if the bridge is set according to the standard castor (even by eye), then the shank on the bridge will live at approximately the same standard angle with respect to the transfer case flange + another lengthening of the cardan.
In my opinion, you don’t need to change the castor when converting from springs to springs, since in the process of this very alteration you yourself adjust the angles of rotation of the supporting elements of the sticks on the bridge.

Yes, he moved both forward and backward, he would have moved forward, but in this case the steering gear will fit on the frame number. And the principle was to reach 2500 in the base. Did not work out.

Did you build bridges?

P
Paha40 01.03.22

The corners are already not long cardans, that's the point, the shank is turned towards the handout.

Paha40

Of course he redid it. And castor is interesting.
After installing the springs left, and the car roams.
Again he cut the balls into boxing, straightened the castor.
How, I peeped somewhere at the Americans site, I don’t remember.

Pash, what was the point of cutting the fists if you still made the original stick fasteners?! Well, I would immediately put the bridge under the regular castor, I would weld the fasteners of the sticks and that's it. Or am I missing something?!

P
Paha40 01.03.22

But I did not take it out and turned it under welding.

Well visually, I have the same. It was even more logical - since my C200 is clearly copied from the 35th Dana, i.e. stocking = trumpet.
Did the ball come out easily? Or did you need a sledgehammer?

P
Paha40 01.03.22

Yes it is, a fist on it landing in a stocking bridge.
But this is TOYOTA.

O
OldBlindDog 01.03.22

Are there no pictures left? I cut it off by welding - but does the ball somehow get into the stocking with a sleeve? "the fist comes with a fit of about 150mm" - is that it?

P
Paha40 01.03.22

In practice, if you carefully cut by welding, then the fist comes with a fit of about 150mm and is inserted quite easily. True, he did not cut it himself, he only exhibited it.

Cut off the steering knuckles? I am told that it is difficult to set them correctly later.

BUT after all, when the height of the lever attachment to the frame is slightly higher than if it is on the bracket? Did it affect castor? Or did you redo the mounts on the bridge anyway?

P
Paha40 01.03.22

They got along well there.
Didn't really think about it.
But I remembered that the choice fell on the rear 70 because they are the longest.

O
Odyssey4x4 01.03.22

Clear. Everything is clearly visible. So, I fixed the levers on the frame ... um ... I need to think

P
Paha40 01.03.22

Yeah, and bearings in the bridge, oil seals, etc.
I was able to take photos only because I put the car on the bulkhead of the bridge :)

Well, the main thing from the photos is that the cross is new, which means it will carry. :)

somebody 01.03.22

heh, but before it was spring or already springs?

P
Paha40 01.03.22

It was also spring in different variations.
Now the springs. (well, just not happy)

K

Does the rear suspension only have panhard rods? Have you installed a stabilizer? What springs did you put on the rear axle? I'm going to put the 70s on the back next week too. I only think to put racks with calovers so as not to bother with springs.

P
Paha40 01.03.22

Considered that the springs and shock absorbers separately more tenacious circuit.
I didn’t put a reactive, it knocks in corners, but it’s not critical and only at low speeds.
Unification in everything, springs from 80ki front all, before squandered standard, ass squandered +2. This is today, but I built it to the standard 80. levers (skis) from 70 everything.
It was built for long-range raids with fewer covens and more payload.

P
Paha40 01.03.22

yes, they will dovern, when installing the engine and the razdatka was slightly lowered. Vibrations were not observed.

somebody 01.03.22

the bridge is turned or it seems?
