Pads - Toyota Celica, 1.8 L, 2000
changed the pads in front, on Kashiyama, it immediately became worse to slow down I wonder how long they have run-in period? The instructions say that 500 km is a bit too long.
We must also change the rear probably. We'll have to take the rear discs from the GTS, since there are already brakes from the GTS :-))
You probably started to exploit them incorrectly.
It is recommended as follows:
For proper lapping, it is recommended to perform the following actions after installing new brake pads: 1. Accelerate the car to a speed of 60 km / h and, without removing your feet from the accelerator pedal, start braking. In this case, the speed should not drop below 50 km / h. This is necessary to warm up the brake
pads and discs to the optimum temperature (in this mode you should drive about 750 m)
2. Release the brake pedal and drive 2 km freely (let the pads and discs cool down)
3. Slowly stop the car until it comes to a complete stop. After these steps, the pads can be considered correctly ground in.
