Light styling - Toyota Carina E, 2.0 L, 1992
My native dull green backlight did not impress me. Therefore, it was decided to replace it with white and red. And at the same time to make a backlight on diodes.
A couple more interesting solutions are being considered now ...
And I like the stove, I remember my childhood and the "Veterok" heater, only there were no diodes there :-))), and the spiral warmed the air!
The tidy will still be finished. I will glue it over with diodes differently, and put the light guides under the arrows (so that the arrows glow red). And the air vents in the photo do not look very good (I shot it on a sonic k790) - live - a bomb. Deeper and more diffused red light.
The tidy is cool, but I would take the diodes out of the deflectors. Reminds of some kind of crematorium)
At first I thought in the air to make the switch from red to blue. But my blue light turned out to be not a happy light (as it turned out), and it didn't fit in (everything was in white and red tones), so I decided not to fool around. In the tidy, there are also diodes in lamp holders so far, but later I will make diodes along the perimeter of the scales and red illumination of the arrows. And in order not to dazzle - I will redo the standard backlight brightness control (solder the resistances) and it will be possible to turn off the light.
The stove glows red when warm air blows, and when the cold one glows blue?))) The
instrument lighting turned out very well!
I solved this problem (with illumination of devices) by installing LEDs (ready-made ones for sale) in their regular places instead of incandescent bulbs. It turned out with white light and not very bright (I do not need brightness, since I often move along the intercity night routes)
to highlight the arrows, as far as I know, it is enough to put one diode (white) right at the base of the arrow and the arrow will burn like a flame)
I do not have enough for such troubles)))
By the way, where did you get food from in the glove compartment? or rather when the light is on there?
the bulbs under the arrows are not so simple. there it is very problematic to cram the diode under the arrow of the speedometer.
And he took power from a standard glove compartment light bulb, and it is fed through the limit switch.
