Decarbonizing - Toyota Corolla, 1.4 L, 2000

Decarbonizing - Toyota Corolla 14 L 2000

To begin with, I have had a detonation since I bought the car. And not how could not understand the reason for its occurrence. I've tried almost everything. I stopped at the fact that the whole problem is in the rings. They are coked up because of the thick 10w-40 oil which I filled in all the time. Oil enters the combustion chamber, mixing with gasoline and forming a detonation. Plus, in addition, carbon deposits formed in the combustion chamber due to the combustion of oil. In general, I ordered Laurel ml 202 anticoks. How I got it is a separate long story, so I am from Moldova, and we have not even heard about this preparation. Warmed up the engine to operating temperature, down with the candles. 45 ml in each cylinder. He quickly twirled the candles and put the car on a flat surface. And he left her to rest until morning :). In the morning I unscrewed the candles and wanted to get the remaining liquid with a syringe and the cylinders were empty. The rings are well laid down and can be seen for a long time. Although I must say she did not eat much butter. 2 liters per 10,000. In general, started it the second time smoked with gray acrid smoke. Fortunately it was 6 am and the neighbors were sleeping peacefully. By the way, I put the candles on while the old ones. He warmed it up and repeated the operation again. I filled it with another bottle of laurel.

Came in the evening. The liquid is still all gone into the sump. I started it. Progazoval, watching as the neighbors were surprised that this is my car. After all, not when you did not smoke before? I went to the pit, filled in the engine wash. I started the engine for 20 minutes. Then he leaked it all.

Filled in new Castrol magnatec 5w-30 oil as prescribed in the recommendation. As I understand it, thick oil does not always pass through small holes in the piston, coking rings, and more liquid oil easily passes through small holes in the piston. And therefore, I believe that the myth that thick oil burns less has no basis.
In general, it is too early to judge the consumption and detonation since only one day has passed. But I will definitely write about the successes or failures of de-boxing with laurel and changing the oil from 10w-40 to 5w30!

How so ?! After decarbonization, it is MANDATORY to change the oil and candles are not necessary

be sure to sign off as you watch, I also did the decarbonizing in the logbook, wrote about this, too, laurel, interesting how you did it! I had no cravings at first ... until all the liquid had evaporated ...

It also detonates for me, but in my opinion, decarbonization will not help much here, because the engine detonates due to improper ignition, incorrect valve adjustment and from here and hydraulic lifters, or clogging of the hydraulic lifter channel ...
well, I wonder what you can do there, unsubscribe, I will wait for the result ...)

The main thing after this procedure is to pour good oil!

So so. Decarbonization helped me 100%! The detonation is completely gone!
Earlier, at temperatures above 15, just horror chirped. And now we have 35 and there is not even a hint of detonation. I don't know how long this effect will last, but so far everything is fine. I go and enjoy.

I will also do decarbonization one of these days. By the way, did you still drive to the pit? This is not recommended, but I have a hopeless situation, I cannot change the oil under the jack, I also have to go to the pit. By the way, you need to pour the Laurel until it stops leaving ...

I will say this, disappointed. After the Laurel, it did not get worse, but the effect lasted two weeks. Then the detonation returned. The oil went away and goes away. I think only replacing the rings can solve the problem of detonation and oil consumption.

After decoking, I drove 2 km to the pit. Filled in flushing and changed the oil. It was 10w40 filled with 5w30.

Shta? Rinse the net and that's it. What a skiff.

In engines with a VVT system, flushing must not be poured when changing the oil, because a skiff will quickly come to the VVT coupling, and the price tag for a new one is not weak.

Something was ringing on my Corolla too. It seems to have detonated. Tk depended on gasoline - if he refueled with some very good, it stopped. And in general it manifested itself periodically. Run was 500 thousand.
Perhaps it knocks the hydraulic valve lifter. since if the rings were flooded, the oil consumption was not 2 liters per 10.000. and 2 liters per 1000.
