Installation of KONI struts - Toyota Carina E, 2.0 L, 1992
I thought about how to increase the comfort and controllability of the karinka. On 17 wheels I felt every cigarette butt on the road. And I didn’t like the way she behaved on a rough road. At small joints, the air just knocked out and it seemed that the car would now crumble. Sinned either on a rigid suspension or on the dead rack.
I ordered KONI SPECIAL racks with adjustable stiffness.
What amazed me pleasantly - KONI released a table of settings for its jays for each machine and each country. And when I bought them, the dealer, in accordance with the specifications, set them up on the stand for my carina, which travels around Ukraine. Moreover, if I don't like the settings, I can change them. But for this you need to remove the racks.
To save money, I ordered so-called cartridges. They are installed in the native rack. The principle of installation is as follows: you remove your own rack, cut off the upper part with a grinder, take out the giblets of the rack, drill a hole for the bolt in the lower part, insert the cartridge, and use the bolt to pull it into the rack body and fix it, then put on the boot and that's it - the rack is ready.
When dismantling, it turned out that the front struts are my relatives (original) alive. They also turned out to be collapsible. But the rear ones were almost new Boges. But some are very tough.
He put the Horses on and went to test - the car simply does not recognize. On irregularities, it stopped hitting the body with blows. No rattling in the cabin. Ride with a breeze through the bends - rides like on rails. On irregularities in corners, it ceased to be rearranged. Strut paradox - the car has become softer and better road holding. Happy as an elephant!
The price of the issue is 530 USD.

I dropped the contacts of the person who sells them in a personal note.
Tell me, does he sell cartridges too?
I also want to myself, but I can't find it anywhere. Can you tell me where you bought it? Is there such a company on the Internet?
I myself did not know ... :) And for the price - it is more interesting to take cartridges. Happy as an elephant!
Yes - weigh it :) I
really didn't know that there are cartridges in native racks - I was surprised :)
they are completely oil adjustable in hardness,
I dashed off 10 thousand and sold the car. the new owner has already dashed at least 50 thousand - there are no problems ... We have rumors that horses began to do garbage: (they can start to sweat after 10-15 thousand ... I bought mine 3 years ago :)
Here I am about the same ... Previously, Koni's racks were super, but now they agreed :( and if you take it better than Bilstein.
An acquaintance bought it from me, he didn't even go for a year, one rack fell apart, changed as a marriage.
