Exhaust or not? - Toyota MR-S, 1.8 L, 2000

Some time ago I installed a polished OBX exhaust manifold instead of the factory one with two catalysts. At first, the sound was the same as before, but then it began to change - there was an impression as if somewhere "cut through", let the exhaust pass. I examined everything, tightened it up, but the sound still remained. I was told that it might be from the collector. But then the question arises - why did the sound not become so at once?
Any thoughts?

It is quite possible ... I think it's worth going to the service station with a lift ...

Are the gaskets burned out? Did the collector itself lead from the temperature difference?

Thanks for the good advice.
For tomorrow the station has already scored, let's see what it really is.

and it may not be a collector, 1zz is not a very good engine, I had such a sound that led to an overhaul of the engine with a run of 50K ... there are problems with oil consumption and you will just miss turning the liners from there and a sound similar to a secant exhaust. In general, this is not the same car where the hood can not be opened for six months.

the collector was, or rather the gasket, which bent a little during delivery. small dents were formed, the tightness was lost, well, off we go)
about the collector - it's hard to say, there is nothing significant. I think it's all because of gasoline, it's very difficult to understand what the car is really capable of = (

So what really happened?
By the way, did the collector give anything in the dynamics besides sound?)))
