Replacing the heater radiator Part 2 - Toyota Mark II 20L 1993

In general, everything was exactly as they thought. The radiator leaked, it was covered in antifreeze.

The old radiator was completely clogged, it was barely blown out with air, the water passed through it with grief and gurgling. It is not surprising that in winter the stove blew barely warm. The new radiator was perfectly blown through and passed water through itself.

The reassembly process was more fun and quicker, but not without its troubles.

1. Somehow there were 2 different bolts left, everything was reviewed, it is not clear where they came from.

2. Both hoses that fit the radiator inlet and outlet were torn. the rubber simply burned to the copper. It doesn't matter, we buy new ones.

3. The plastic pipe of the heater faucet was successfully broken off, the clamp was simply pulled over, and the pipe broke off. The issue is solved only by replacing the tap.

4. The bolt was ripped off (it was rusty) that attaches the thin copper tube of the air conditioner to some kind of crap. Accordingly, this tube could not be screwed on. Solved by either drilling out the old bolt or tapping the remaining hole.

After replacing the radiator and fully assembling the car, I almost fell into a stupor, tk. turned on the stove, and cold air was blowing. That's when I cursed everything in the world. Collecting our thoughts, we decided that there was simply an airlock in the cooling system (the radiator was inserted empty). We poured antifreeze into it and voila, Tashkent in the car. The result of the work done was positive.

For those who will do something like this - do not be afraid, not everything is as scary as it seems the first time. Yes, you have to disassemble 30% of the car, but this is worth doing in order for the stove to warm up in winter. We buy a book (preferably), take a normal set of tools and go. I am with the car for YOU, but the total time for everything about everything was spent about 12 hours, because the whole thing can be done in 1 day. The assembly process is an order of magnitude faster than disassembly.

Who will do something like this, do not hesitate, ask questions, I will definitely give you a hint!

If you do not mind the money for refueling the frion, then you better let it down and do it humanly. There should be no problems, the frion descends in order to disconnect the air conditioner tube going to the salon, otherwise the white case in the cabin cannot be pulled over. There, except that you need to be careful with a thin tube coming out under the hood from the air conditioner evaporator

Hi, I looked through everything - great. I have the same problem and this Friday I finally tackled it. So far, just removed the torpedo.

Did you bleed freon? Some horror stories about air conditioner pipes are being written on tourervru, have you come across this?

yeah, the work is familiar, it was also such a trouble, I also changed it myself, when you remove the panel at once, so much space becomes a lot, the only thing is sad, this radiator cost me 9 rubles, I had to take it, because there were no options (((((

Good afternoon! Good report! Respect! Here the windows are sweating, too, I think to disassemble the torpedo ... what do you think is probably better to put a new stove or after disassembling to see what the problem is ... before disassembling, drain the liquid all (antifreeze)? Do not judge strictly ... the first car ... well, advice on disassembly ... thanks for earlier ...
