At some point, the chain can jump a tooth. Two due to this stretching and then, at best, the engine will stall, at worst - a fist of friendship (valves will meet pistons). Thoroughly studied the problem) what, how and where, all the subtleties and trifles, for a hundred, this procedure costs about 7 kiloRUB without app. parts, h.ch. on existential under mine about 4.5 kilo RUB to wait 12 days.
Of course, you could do with replacing the tensioner, but remove the motor front in any case, and if the front is removed, as they say before your eyes (you), it is better to replace everything at once so as not to climb there 20 times.
