My tuning p. 3 - Fuel pump - Toyota Mark II, 2.5 L, 1993
The drain pump (and a new one) on the tourer is enough for ~ 1kg of excess. I was going to blow more, so the pump got under replacement. Chose Walbro 255l / h.
We remove the back sofa: pull the seats forward and up, unscrew the back (four bolts at the bottom) and pull up. I found sunflower seeds under the sofa, some guys had already removed it. There is a round hatch right in the middle of the opened partition, we hook it up with a screwdriver (it is seated on a sealant) and it will fall off. Directly below it is a gas tank and a pump. At this point, the negative terminal of the battery should be disconnected, and all smokers sent by the forest.
Two hoses (main and return) and a counter go to the pump, we unhook them. Some gasoline will pour out of the main hose, be careful. We unscrew seven bolts by 8 in a circle, and take out this harness. I didn't have time to do everything in the garage, so I took the old pump home by sealing the round hole in the gas tank with a custom round on a special tape made by my wife, for which I thank her.
At home, I disassembled this thing (2nd photo), washed everything and put it aside just in case - they say that Valbra is not the same. In the photo, the mesh has already been washed, before that it looked even worse, and was covered with some kind of rubbish that looked like clay.
In terms of size and method of fastening, Valbra has everything almost one to one with the stock pump (3rd photo), only the chip is different, it must be replaced with the one that comes with the kit. Note that you can't use electrical tape - it gets soaked in gasoline, you have to shrink it.
If you do not put the sofa in place, then the new pump hums compared to the stock one is simply unrealistically loud. The duet added some kind of airplane high-frequency shade to the forward flow bass. With the windows open, the pump can be heard from outside from a distance of five meters. After installing the sofa, it became quieter, but you can still hear it clearly.

In the same place at the very beginning it is written :) The new drain is enough for up to 1 kg, I blow 1.2 kg. The drain pump will have a lean mixture at this pressure.
