My tuning part 4 - ECU - Toyota Mark II, 2.5 L, 1993
For boost, it is necessary to change the ECU operation - stock brains have a boost cutoff and fuel cards only up to 1 kilo of excess. There are cheap devices that remove this cutoff, but this does not solve the problem - to blow more on native maps - inevitable detonation and death of the motor.
It is impossible to flash Toyota brains, they either need to be replaced or their work adjusted using a sub-computer. There are three types of tuning brains:
1) Full-fledged computer based on stock (Blitz Access, Sard Analyze)
2) Full-fledged custom computer (Apexi PowerFC)
3) Subcomputer, snag for stock (Greddy E-Manage)
I chose the first option. It does not require configuration and is usually stitched for a standard boost (they are called that - a boost brain). He also drives a machine gun and does not require perversions with the fusion of two computers, as in the second case. For the jzx90, boost computers have fuel cards up to 1.17 bar (the stock MAP limit), do not have boost and speed cutoffs, the speed cutoff is shifted.
I couldn't find a brain for a brand in a short time, and bought Sard Analyze for Toyota Soarer (jzz30). The difference between them is only in the automatic control program, since the first gear is shorter in the Soarer. Also, the TRC indicator will be on all the time on these brains, but the TRC itself will work normally. Plus, this computer is a little larger, and you have to remove the air duct to the feet of the rear passengers. This air duct can be easily removed without removing the chair.
Put it - everything is great, the idle is normal and the TRC is on. Warmed up, went with his wife to the track, grabbed it well and turned back. Here the car jerked, revs swam, Check Engine caught fire, and after half a minute they stalled on the hill. He started it, and somehow drove off: troite, overflows (stinks of gasoline), you have to gas a lot. I got to the garage, put my own brains in place - everything is fine. I put back Sard - everything is the same. Did a self-diagnosis, gives error 13 - "Crankshaft position sensor". I decided to reset the computer - after resetting the error, it stopped starting at all. In a nasty mood I drove home on my own computer, taking Sard with me.
I opened the houses and saw this:
Took him to the familiar electrician Dima. In addition to the burnt out diode, he soldered inside a fallen off memory card and some kind of leg, which, most likely, was short. Dima says that it should not happen again, and that in general it was hardly a matter of the diode, which most likely burned out a long time ago - that board is to blame. It looks like the post office shook my package with brains pretty well.
Now I blow 1.2 kilos on them - the flight is normal.
Price tag: 20 000 ₽Damn great! For such a story, only five! It reminded me of something "in the animal world": D
in simple ... words. is to inject air ... already under pressure ... with the help of a pipe?
Excessive (positive) inlet pressure. To have it, you need to pressurize with a turbo or mechanical supercharger.
Last year I had the same computer, Blitz, but it was from the 90th I
took it for 12tr and gave it for the same ...
blya I had a similar situation on the Blitz! Conder also soldered) also from Soarer)
now everything seems to be normal, but after 0.96 kg it goes further and the candles are not dragged along the campaign) there are 6ki, I think it is necessary to insert 8ki!
