Automatic transmission problem - Toyota Opa, 1.8L, 2000

Hello dear drive2 users! I want to share my problem with you and, perhaps, find a solution.

In general, when switching from 1st to 2nd gear, there is a jolt (very strong, i.e. almost a shock), but if the switch occurs with sharp acceleration (i.e. at high engine speeds), then there is no shock, it switches very gently ...

Help with advice on how to get rid of this?

I think that soon the box will end ...
In any case, it is necessary for the service.

Mileage 112 thousand km. the oil in the box changed about 15 thousand km. back.

By the way, I forgot to write that almost immediately after changing the oil this "joint" appeared

first, the oil in the checkpoint must be changed. When was the last time you changed it? What is the mileage of the car?

Well, not at all. Good luck!

thanks. I'll try!

Was the oil in the box when it was changed transparent? Look now what it is. Drops on a white sheet of paper, if it is absorbed and there are no small inclusions left, then with the box most likely everything is ok.

Toyota 4-ku ... and not "left" like ...

Maybe he poured the oil in the wrong way?
Toyota? or Destron what-nid?

we have the only normal service in the city, of course, the first thing I did was go there ... their answer was simple: "Yes, these machines all have such a joint." but I can't believe it, and my son says that this shouldn't be.

It means that no one changed the oil before you.
With the change, all the problems "surfaced".
But there you have to look what is wrong with this box ... check the solenoids, even from faulty high-voltage wires there may be jerks… I had it like that (although you write that jerks are strong). Trips to the specialists, only to such specific ones who are skilled at this brand and do not deal with divorces of "suckers".

A similar problem on our Corolla, also from 1 to 2 there is a sharp jolt with sharp acceleration. With slow acceleration, everything is soft.

I'll try Zverug's advice.

The variator was installed only on two-cylinder D-4

As far as I know, these machines have a variator, and this is a slightly different element and they have their own sores, but a blow is a slow shutdown of the clutch or a quick turn on of another one. Judging by the hydro-mechanical automatic, this is the inclusion of a 2-4 Brake. connect the scanner and watch ... maybe the hydraulic accumulator shifting 1-2 gears has already taken an ellipse form.
