Maintenance 2 - Toyota Camry, 2.0L, 1998

For a long time I have not been noted in the logbook.

So what do we have during this time.
Mileage exceeded 270 thousand km

the current consumables were basically all planned: I
shook up the hodovke - the rear levers were removed / restored. removed the spacers from under the front struts / after which the camber, respectively.
changing the oil in the internal combustion engine, candles, air, oil filters, flushing the power steering system ... all as usual.

And of course, not foreseen expenses (well, where without them): I
missed the level of dextron in the automatic transmission - overheated the box - which cannot be restored (((((
(although every morning in the garage I examined the floor after leaving) - for the formation of oil and other stains. nothing!).
Positive aspects of the circumstances still I found:
1. on the day of failure went to the lake for a vacation with the whole family for 48km from home box welled when we're on the way back to the village crossed the line (to the house did not reach 1. 1.5 km), on a tie we already drove up to the entrance ...
2. I quickly found a box for a replacement. ...
in the bottom line - a week on foot, minus 10tyr from the family budget and self-consolation (which could be worse, or rather much worse, or rather more expensive, if you remember the repair of Priusa)))))

What else can you add? ...
ah! there! having once talked with a friend on the topic "which mats are better to put in the car? silicone or rubber." made for myself the idea to test in urban conditions to drive without them at all! well, or rather, only with regular pile rubber-based rugs. Well, esessno more often had to shake them out, and so you can ride nothing ... but I found out that it turns out under them, or rather even under the floor covering - water! pliiin! why are you? not much - but from time to time it appears! - to disassemble-look ...
and the summer we have won what "dry" now ... so that the interior is disassembled dry the day at least dry, yes it is needed - and it is desirable that it fell on the weekend ... but it still does not. I tried to disassemble, removed the plastic elements - I crawled under the carpet with my hand - everything is damp! the batting has not yet rotted but ... long ((((...
drew attention to the rubber plugs in the bottom, which - and they quietly spin in their grooves ... really pulls through them? ... Max-banshee said that it might well be and that he had planted his own for a long time already ...
and another moment - the main supplying water to the rear washer nozzle in "one" place was undermining - I decided that I would not use it for now - but how will I disassemble salon - at the same time I will fix it ...

in short, everything would probably have lasted until winter if only on Saturday I had not bought a 5 liter can of "Pure Water" ... which, having fallen on its side, poured half of its contents and again onto the floor!

... and it's Sunday at 11:00, according to forecasts, the day should be sunny - well, God himself ordered it to be heated ... together with my father they took out all the chairs from the passenger compartment, unscrewed the seat belt fasteners
... I spent the longest time with a stand under my left leg - well, I did not understand the principle of twisting these secret clips ... I screwed a screw into it and pulled it out like this ... the
coating (oh, it was dirty!) Was knocked out with sticks ... first they dried and then knocked out ...

vacuumed with a Soviet vacuum cleaner Uralets))))

... they dried a little more ... they removed the wet batting because in some places it began to give a "smell", the
rubber plugs were removed, washed, the places of their installation were cleaned ...

put back on the sealant.
soaking water everywhere de it just leaked - found a souvenir - Japanese (I decided that it was there on a special basis - it is simply impossible to drop it there by accident)

they did not forget about the very main supply water to the rear window: it leaked in any situation - even pour water on the front at least back - it just dripped-dripped-dripped - and most likely that water was running from it ... shortened by 1 cm and voila ! dry and clean!

All work ended at about 18:00 in principle ok. did not strain much, did not rush and did not forget anything.
The only thing, of course, will have to return to the topic. I will insulate the floor until winter vsetki - right now there is just 1cm foam rubber.
