Repair kit = (- Toyota Corolla, 1.8 L, 2003

Repair kit - Toyota Corolla 18 L 2003

After 40,000 a year ... and no repairs in principle (ugh ugh ugh), the kick came up to the pads ... well, and the disks, I think so, already have deviations in beat!

Silenbloki vertical in the front lever broke… took Novosibirsk polyurethane! relatives, cracked have been for a long time! Yes, and the pads were native, and they were not new from Japan =)
This is what mechanics means… extends the life of the brakes!
At the same time, it's time to change the brake fluid! I chose with improved performance ... Super DOT4 Kastrolovsky, and lubricant for calipers, guides, LiquidMoli! The procedure is mandatory, I post a description ...

I bought everything, it remains only to put everything! Already broke off once, Because the repair will be done in Sayanogorsk, and I am in Krasnoyarsk!

Polyurethane is generally a sporting theme ... they also add stiffness to the suspension =)

Novosibirsk polyurethane silent blocks rule! Do not think of it as an advertisement, but after 20 thousand mileage on them there are only scuffs, no cracks or wear as such ... I
put it at the beginning of last summer.

120 somewhere))) and sat down at 75 ... today I looked, the front ones are quite a bit left, and the replacement is only next week

Yesterday I also changed the front pads :) There were no changeable ones from Japan, and I drove them for a year and a half :) run 107, I sat down was 67 :)
What is your mileage right now?

a
aka-mazai 06.12.20

... that's why you have so many pads;)

k
krasnoyarec 06.12.20

Well, I almost always do, except for the parking brake. First I brake with the engine, and then with the pedal :)

a
aka-mazai 06.12.20

and I have a point ...))) Do you know how I'm braking now ?!
first box ... then a little pedal and handbrake)))))

These 3-4 have been holding for two months already, before I watched Petropavlovka the same way as it was now :)

a
aka-mazai 06.12.20

3-4 is time to change ... otherwise soon the limiter will scratch across the disc ...

I now have 96,000 mileage, the pads are the same as those that were in the car from Japan, but came with a mileage of 31,000. I don't think that the Japanese changed them there :) there are still 3-4 millimeters of surfaces.

We have been thinking about it for a long time ... just do not have time and finances will be confused! and it's easier for me to put sports pads on the front, the effect is the same, the crap is less ( 4000-5000 )

Throw out the drums as a class and put disc hubs from Z.;)

matero =) and where did you buy these ?! I can hardly find this
next time from the existential order the original Toyota!
CV joints ... so sometimes they tap = (that's why I'm waiting for their death, and I think that intervention will only speed up! LMX poured into CV joints ?!

I also did such an audit, only I used Huskey and Slipkote lubricants. Very correct. One more time in 80 thousand. change the lubricant in the CV joints - to extend their life ...

a
aka-mazai 06.12.20

smoked =) but damn it is not clear how to get them ?!

B
Beaver 06.12.20

I found it through suppliers in Ukraine - smoked forums about the specification - the most covered lubricant ... The original does not make sense because, for example, a Husky is coming off the assembly line on a Honda :)
It makes sense to climb into CV joints! You can prolong their life very much. And if you take new ones, then the price tag will be cosmic :( I'm on the carine of me - I dumped about 600 tanks before the crisis :(

Lubricants:
1. SLIPKOTE ® 220-R Silicone Disc Brake Caliper Grease and Noise Suppressor - Silicone disc brake caliper grease (HUSKEY ™ Specialty Lubricants). It is formulated as an anti-wear, anti-corrosion lubricant for the mounting of all moving parts of the disc brake caliper in passenger cars and trucks, the back metal surfaces of brake pads and seals. This non-melting silicone grease provides maximum protection over a wide temperature range from -46 to +299 C. The grease is insoluble in water and brake fluid, compatible with most plastics and elastomers, and eliminates grinding and noise from brakes.

2. HUSKEY ™ HTS-2 MOLY GREASE - In the outer CV joints. It is a premium quality, fully synthetic, high temperature molybdenum disulfide reinforced grease. Blended with synthetic base oils and synthetic thickeners for long life and wide operating temperature range. Alloyed with the most advanced extreme pressure and antiwear additives. The operating temperature range of the grease is from - 40 ° ÷ +260 ° С, dry film up to +454 ° С.

3. SLIPKOTE â„¢ POLYUREA CV JOINT GREASE - For internal CV joints (It goes in the original on Honda and other GM cars!). The grease has been specially designed to meet the harsh operating conditions of constant velocity joints (homokinetic ball and tripoids) found in front wheel drive, all wheel drive and some rear wheel drive vehicles. SLIPKOTE â„¢ POLYUREA CV JOINT grease is used as a non-replaceable grease for the entire life of the
unit, also in maintenance, when traditional lithium and lithium complex greases do not provide the necessary protection and service life. SLIPKOTE â„¢ POLYUREA CV JOINT GREASE has significant advantages in
performance over traditional CV joints greases with thickeners on metal soaps - this is a high-temperature, extended service life, ultra-water resistant grease of a non-replaceable
category for severe operating conditions, compatible with well-known elastomers and thermoplastics. A non-soap, polyurea thickener, together with high quality base
oils and special, custom additives, provide extreme lubrication resistance and durability.

smoke on the Internet, there are names! And also there are original lubricants, let's say Toyota

M
Michael76 06.12.20

And where can you read more about these lubricants? Do they lubricate all the brakes?
