Front brake pad replacement - Toyota Celica, 2.0L, 1998

Front brake pad replacement - Toyota Celica 20L 1998

As soon as I determined that my hearing was not letting me down and that the signaling plate was really rubbing against the disc, I started looking for a replacement. And here it is the benefit of understanding that you are in the celica club and you have the phones of people who rarely refuse to help with at least the car issue. Thanks to Misha (Schumacher) for a completely new set of the original at a very affordable price.
On Friday evening we met under the screen near Gorky Park, in fact, the club's meetings are held here, and after making sure that there was no problem in the jammed cylinder, he postponed the replacement for the next day. ... it was a pity Friday evening =) I got to the blocks only yesterday ... For me, it took longer to get ready than to change. I drove to my friend Alexei at the academy, where I lifted up the car at the tire service and committed this act. The whole process took no more than 20 minutes. As a result of the replacement, I finally stopped attracting attention to myself with annoying squeaking and a decrease in the braking distance on my face ... True, there is a negative point, I still haven't figured out why, but when braking there is a click, as if the block "walks" a little ... I'll watch a couple of days ...

I have a different system)
I was tortured to press the brake pistons inside!

well, GE from the factory, there is a spacer, but there are no rear disc brakes and LSD ...
this is the last letter in the body number ...
I have A, but it should be B

? and where from GE then? After all, all GEs come with disc brakes + spacers.

I have drums in the back)
but I will buy the entire rear axle assembly, with disc brakes and LSD ...

Considering that the RAV4 borrowed the drivetrain from the Celica, it would be very suspicious if they didn't fit. all the more you have all 4 discs, I think, without any difficulties, a replacement should take place. I'll go to watch the forum =)

xs, it was really hard ...
damn it, I found the same brake calipers at the auction ...
with delivery they get up to 350 dollars ...
I wonder if they fit me or not ...

of course, I have 16. True, not all fit. Departure is needed at least 45 like. Although some do not fit at 38. In this case, you need to measure. And what was your push-in trouser?

But I want the same brakes!
Will the 16th disks fit on them?

Everything is elementary simple =) As far as I know, the brakes are the same as in the WRC. And there it is very important to quickly change consumables.

Damn, on the first car I see an adequately thought out replacement process - without removing the support) Toyota is a gut)

Do you have any disks there?))))) try it on the next time. I also drove that way until it was time to change, and when I took it off, it broke off in pieces :-D in the photo you can see that the wear on different sides of the disk is different (well this is my verified opinion)))))
