Trunk Creaks - Toyota Corolla, 1.6L, 2008
I already wrote in a review about the car that almost from the very moment of buying a car, somewhere from the trunk, a strange metal creak was heard when the car ran into any bumps or pits ... by buying a WD-40 spray the problem was solved, though before that it was necessary to completely researcher the entire trunk while driving to find the source of the squeak ... The squeak zone is circled in the photo, squeaked and everything is ok :)
Mileage: 8 870 kmCouncil. If the squeak comes from the joint of the stamp welds, which is circled in the photo, then tap this place with a non-metallic hammer (wooden mallet, plastic hammer). Selectively, not chaotically, pointwise, choosing the most suspicious places of metal joints. If there is a creak from removable non-welded parts, then it is better to remove and glue them. Vibroplast is suitable. And vd40 tends to dry out. A couple of days, weeks, and the creak will appear. Good luck)
Friend! Tell me. how to remove the rear panel (between the rear window and the passenger seats) - rattles ... in the Toyota center they said that they could not help ... if you know how to remove it and make it noiseless ... pl. tell
