We paint the headlights! - Toyota Yaris, 1.3L, 2007
I decided to experiment! I bought a matte black paint, paper tape, spent 50 UAH on everything. and sealant! disassembled the headlight, I thought (interestingno that I disassembled it first, and then I thought)! sealed with tape, those places that are not painted. Blew out the paint. It's dry! Here, check it out!
It will turn out exactly as in the photo (for standard ones):
And so for the linted ones:
Also interesting option, quite affordable (price $ 450 a couple)!

write about the result! do not shine worse?
put! the view is better, the light is the same as before!
Shorty
Yes, I'm wondering how it shines?
I'm thinking about the headlights all the same, but I have xenon and I'm afraid that it will stop shining altogether
headlight painting does not affect the light in any way, i.e. the reflector itself is not painted
uh uh! so there jo the reflector is in place, not painted over! although… I'll try one of these days and say. so far there was only enough time for one headlight! I will try on Gallogen and 6000K xenon. I do not like the standard ones with xenon, they scatter too much, and they dazzle, if not regulate.
I also want to tint linzovanuyu optics on my yarik in body color! but this is a little later!

Yes Yes! exactly the way it happened! something stopped me! see I need to rest, enough think about the country)))) I will paint over the matte plastic mask! thanks for the advise! Appreciate!
I had to paint over the matte plastic with black transparent varnish, as I did on Geshe.

Did you make the headlights yourself? at us on ISe the backs were opened with a dark varnish! cool it turned out!
I'm doing it right now) I paint everything inside, just leave a reflector for the turn signal)
and the lens will be!)
I saw on a Honda jazz I saw headlights (insides) painted in body color
(from the factory), it looks very good! I think it's worth a try!
Black is beautiful, I admit it. But I'm thinking about painting it in red in order to combine it with the body in one single unit). Can you really adjust the color to the car or is it better not to take a steam bath with black?
