How a car prepares for the race - Toyota RAV4, 2.0L, 1996
Before the race, as a rule, the car is fully prepared. Attention is paid to every node and every detail. Check for wear. Replacement of consumables and fluids.
So before the Kamenny Belt race in Pervouralsk, we drove the car into the garage for scheduled maintenance.
Of the problems:
1 - oil flowed from the oil pump oil seal
2 - the pump was flowing
3 - the clutch died
4 - the antifreeze ran out
5 - the oil was gone
6 - the struts were punched
well, little things :)
So on Saturday afternoon, the car pulled into the garage.
photo 1 - we raise the car. A complete analysis is ahead.
Next, we disconnect all the wires from the engine.
We drain all the liquids we can.
We remove the stretcher and ski.
Then we prop up the engine and unscrew the pillows.
Photo 2 - The engine removed from the hinges is on the jack.
At this time, the car goes up the lift.
photo 3 - the car rises, the engine lies on a makeshift table.
Photo 4-5-6 - This is what a regular 3S-FE looks like.
photo 7 - we disconnect the box with the distributor. The clutch needs to be replaced.
Photo 8 - We replace the old dead clutch with a new reinforced one from TRD.
Then we change the pump, rollers, belts, oil pump, gaskets, rubber bands, wipe off the oil layer. There is no need for a photo.
Photo 9 - when everything is ready, we lower the car ON the engine. We combine everything and fill in fresh liquids.
