Steering bipod - Toyota Land Cruiser, 3.4L, 1983

Steering bipod - Toyota Land Cruiser 34L 1983

After the transfer of the axles under the springs (SOA), there was a problem with the steering rods, namely, one of them was spread under the springs in front of the bridge. It is clear that any stump or stone and the first blow will be taken by the steering rod. To solve this problem, reinforced tie rods, tips and bipods were ordered, which allowed both rods to pass over the springs. In one of the photos, for comparison, there is an old and a new steering bipod:

First order the bipod. In 90% of cases, native hairpins fit. And if they do not fit, then yes, you can do these.

www.trail-gear.com/knuckle-studs If it's not hard, take a look at the link, will these studs fit?

Sure.

And the hairpins, as I understand it, should also be elongated?
