Music part I - Toyota Corolla, 1.4 L, 2007
After much deliberation, I decided to start improving the audio system. The reason for the replacement is absolutely obvious - the low potential of the standard acoustics.
I decided to start by installing an amplifier and a subwoofer. The main condition was to keep as much free space in the trunk as possible. As a result of this, the now popular installation option in the rear wing niche was chosen.
Then the process of selecting the necessary components went, after reading a bunch of forums, after consulting with professionals, speakers and amplifiers from the Hertz lineup were chosen:
Hertz EP 1D - monoblock;
Hertz HX 300 is a subwoofer.
Since the amplifier also decided to install in the rear fender niche, at the same time, a 4-channel Hertz EP 4 amplifier was purchased,
to which in the future, after replacing the standard one, the front and rear acoustics will be connected. A 1.2 F capacitor was also installed.
As a result, it turned out:
Amplifiers and a capacitor, compactly installed in the trunk and partially covered with false panels.
The subwoofer is conveniently located in the trunk. The stealth technology has made it possible to save a lot of useful space in the luggage compartment, thereby preserving its volume almost completely.
And all together it looks like this:
At the next stage, it is planned to replace the head unit and acoustics, but more on that later ...
