Niche under the number in the rear bumper - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 1994
The car got from the previous owner with the rear bumper torn in the area of the right pipe. I drove for a long time, but somehow, out of nothing to do, I decided to repair it, in the end my hands reached the niche for the number. I am annoyed by the device with the torches on which most of the back numbers hang, the bulbs never shine. everything is decided, to cut the bumper.
As a result, I took a marker, marked it out, sawed it off with a jigsaw, soldered it with a soldering iron and a mesh from the speakers. I also put a paddle on it.
Sorry for the quality outlined in Paint
Actually 1 is a standard opening for a number. first I marked the lines around this opening at a distance of about 1-2 cm (as you like) from the inner surface of the opening. Then at a distance of about 10 cm I marked vertical lines. part number 2 to be discarded.
I sawed it with a jigsaw along the outlined lines. I got 5 bumper parts, two parts number 2 and two L-shaped pieces with native cutouts for lighting.
As already said, we remove the parts number 2. We connect the G-shaped parts with the bumper using a 100W soldering iron and a mesh from the speakers, cut into pieces 10x20 mm in size. We put the mesh in place of the seam and press it with a soldering iron, it heats it up and sinks it into the plastic. I sculpted the mesh at 1 cm intervals outside and 5 cm inside the bumper.
Places A and B were repaired from suitable pieces of old bumpers, of which there is a sea in a local dump near the service station. Well, then putty and ...
So far I stopped at this, took out a bit, and put it that way.
