Murder of a motor or 2nd stage of the ADM OpenRace Cup - Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.6 L, 2000

How it was.

This time I decided not to limit myself to simple free races of OpenRace, but to participate in the competition - the ADM Cup ( open-race.ru/kubok/ ).
Moreover, according to the regulations, my car fell into the youngest class "Street" (the engine of the atmosphere is up to 2 liters) and after evaluating the rivals, I decided that at least a podium would shine for me :)

On this day, as befits in the middle of summer, there was a terrible heat on the street, but otherwise nothing foreshadowed trouble, I was in a great mood, and the car was dropping even suspiciously well :)

The first bell rang when I began to adjust the camber angle of the front wheels and, for no reason at all, one of the mounting bolts broke off. Considering the enormous load on the suspension when attacking curbs, it's a rather unpleasant moment ...

The second bell - on the very first lap of the first qualifying race, the zero position of my rudder shifted 15 degrees to the right! (just the day before the race, I did a similar collapse and apparently there was something badly fixed). I had to choose on the fly whether to abandon the check-in and enter the boxes or continue. Despite the steering wheel folded to the side, I decided to continue, since the rest of the car was going fine, although my mood, of course, deteriorated greatly :(

The third call - before the start of the second race, I noticed that my wheel nuts were unscrewing, and that's all! (Oh, this Chinese "tuning" :()
Hmm, well, in spite of all this, I continued (the money has already been paid ...) and this time I tried to squeeze a good result out of the car.

The last Chinese warning - in the second qualifying race, the organizers for some reason decided to give the participants one more lap than usual (not 3, but 4 battle laps). If it was not so hot outside, I would have been delighted, but I immediately thought that it could end badly for the motor ... And while I was thinking about it, when braking after a long straight line, before the first bunch of turns, my engine just stalls! The brake pedal with a stake, the steering wheel was heavy ... fortunately, the speed was no longer too high. I stop on the side of the road, wait 30 seconds, try to start… The engine starts as if nothing had happened! I drive slowly to the boxes, let the car cool down, check all liquids and so on - everything is normal.

After all this, a clever person would have packed up and went home, but ... It turned out that in the second race I set my personal best 2.05.8 and besides, it was the best time in my class! Thoughts of an easy victory appeared in my head and I decided to continue ... The denouement came quickly, already on the first lap of the semifinal race, I realized that the car had lost power, but on the second, again under braking after a long straight, the engine stalled and this time it was no longer wound up.
