Muffler and stove repair - Toyota Sprinter, 1.5 L, 1988

As I already wrote, the native gasket between the "pants" and the intake pipe burns out constantly, I have already changed 2 pieces. Confused - for a thousand kilometers, then they start flogging again. In my opinion, it's all about the gasket material - a very thin layer of asbestos.

Yesterday I spat on everything and bought a non-native gasket from Opel Ascona. It looks like a washer, converging on a cone made of pressed wire ~ 1.5 cm high. It fits perfectly in height, set it up, now I enjoy the
silence in the cabin. Hopefully this time for a long time.

The fact that the stove heats somehow is not right, I realized with the onset of frost. If earlier in the red mode the air flowed in a strong stream even at 2 speeds very hot, now it is a slightly warm, barely perceptible breeze from the deflectors. I decided to disassemble and clean the system.

It looks like this: the air intake under the grill in front of the glass -> the motor with the impeller -> the evaporator of the air conditioner -> the radiator of the stove -> the branch to the deflectors.

Everything was hidden behind the glove compartment. The main problem was in the kondeya evaporator - the only part left from the air conditioning system :))) it turned out to be clogged with dirt so much that it would be very difficult for air to pass through it. I removed the evaporator nafig - now it blows both warmly and quickly!

By the way, who needs a working evaporator - contact us!
