The beginning, or how it all began. - Toyota Celica, 3.0L, 1984

I had a free hour on the Internet, I decided to start a bortovik here. From the very beginning, from where what and how. Go!

It all started back in 2003, when I was forced to sell my Honda Accord, and since I was in close contact with the avid Toyotofiles at that time, I decided to collect a Toyota for myself!
Especially after watching the afterburner, I immediately began to dream of a supra! and definitely with 2JZ-GTE! 3 turboliters. Eh, dreams.
There was not a lot of money at that time, and I decided to stop the search on some Toyota where such an engine could eventually be stuck.
One day an acquaintance said that he had seen a body lying on the roof of a shed in one of the parking lots on Metallurg. Without glass, wiring, interior, with the remains of the engine and suspension. We decided to go and see. It turned out to be the second-generation left-handed Supra body. All this pleasure cost me 3000 reE and delivery to boxing 1100.
In the beginning it looked like this.

Just a few months earlier, in Togliatti, we disassembled a left-hand drive crown with a 5M carburetor and a manual gearbox. (I had to pay 6000 ree for it. From all this I could already assemble a moving something. Everything came up quite easily, only the box turned out to be a little longer, and the old supports had to be installed ... Well, of course, I had to buy a gasket under the boss (900 ree.) ...

After assembly, it turned out that the compression was 3-4 ... I hoped that the engine was working ... When I disassembled the boss - the valve was surprised - 5-6 mm of carbon deposits and black edges ... In short, a couple of evenings for grinding and the compression rose to 8. after turning the camshaft to a tooth, it rose to 10. Since there was no wiring, I assembled an ignition system from the wires at hand, the ignition coil from a penny, and the car went! The view was really awful.) No glasses, headlights, bumpers, shabby. complete horror! Something like this))

The question arose of what to do with all this further, because there are no documents or other spare parts. and here.

Pretty soon, friends found a broken Suprochka on some base in Novokuibyshevsk, just like mine, but only with a right-hand drive, a little looted, but there were almost all of the glass, and the wiring was not too cut (only in the cabin that goes to the tidy, torpedo and bar). There were also mechanisms for raising the headlights, although one of the impact was split and the shaft was bent, but it was repaired by installing a shaft from the window regulator, since it came up like a native.
Suprochka, beaten in the face, cost me 3000 with delivery ...

Glasses, wiring, optics, something from the salon were delivered from it. The Camry has a left-handed instrument panel, stove and steering wheel. The rest from other toyotas.
Numbers were found under the rugs. Found the owner, re-registered for himself. got numbers. She drove through the city!

Well, something like that is developing with the machines. Although many friends were looking for my friend, I stumbled upon one by chance. Apparently this is fate.
And labor costs - well, this is a hobby, work for your own pleasure, what to consider it) sometimes I rest even when I fiddle with cars) At least my soul)

Blan, you read you - it's that simple! They found a soup there, here) And the prices are somehow unrealistic. You are modestly silent about the labor component)
