Rear axle parking brake cable - Toyota Land Cruiser, 3.4L, 1983

Rear axle parking brake cable - Toyota Land Cruiser 34L 1983

I think many have encountered the problem of the parking brake cable, which is located along the rear axle. Any obstacle at its level ends in its rupture. We decided to try this option: We welded a powerful pipe to the bridge and ran the cable inside. Who thinks what?

Can. But I think I'll do it a little later. In the meantime, we muddle with what we have.

And there is nowhere to stick the transmission brake? The rear propeller shaft is by no means a record short.

it seems to me that this will not save
much, unfortunately, it would have hit a snag and drove on,
and so it would bend the pipe and would not work :(

hmm, it seems to me that it looks quite reliable - you will have to look, exactly not like your cable across the bridge

Well, I don’t know… I have never heard of such a breakdown that this cable tore. turns sour - yes, but does not vomit.

Maybe you need a flexible pipe?

It will get clogged with dirt. :)

On my handbrake was on the transmission. Not a very good scheme.
