Put tumanki. - Toyota Corolla, 1.6L, 2008
Well, finally I took the order and put the tumanki. The whole process lasted for two days. On Saturday I went to the garage and installed the headlights themselves. On Sunday I took up the wiring in the salon.
So, in order. Detailed installation instructions can be found here: www.toyota-tech.eu/legacy...-00_AIM_000_737-0_ENG.pdf . But I decided not to disassemble the front of the car so radically. Having driven the car into the pit, on each side I unscrewed two self-tapping screws that fasten the lower aprons under the tumanki. He carefully removed the plugs. There the latches hold them very well. Then he put the headlights themselves and connected the existing wires. All the wiring on the car was present and was tied with electrical tape to other wires.
Next, we go to the salon.
I considered different switching options. I wanted to get rid of the rear tumanki, but since it is cold outside (it was up to -23 at the weekend in Krasnoyarsk) I decided to postpone this venture. The rear light, in addition to two nuts, is also attached with a clip. He was afraid to break her. Yes, and the reverse to the lamp had to be pulled. I think it can generally leave the rear PTF, just remove the light filter, and put a red light instead of it.
After studying the possible options, I decided to make sure that the tumanki were turned on with dimensions. I did not disassemble the steering column trim. Having removed the radio tape recorder, access was opened from above to the relay units. Next, unscrewing the bolt securing the right block, raise it and install the relay. Now you need to bring a constant mass to the relay control wire. In the block, this is the top horizontal contact. I took the mass from the cigarette lighter. Next, we collect everything in reverse order. It was possible to get to the relay without removing the radio. To do this, remove the stove control unit together with the immobilizer and passenger airbag display unit.
I removed the radio tape recorder because I wanted to change it. But after listening, I realized that first it is better to change the speakers, and then the head.
Another little observation. The wires that go directly to the tumanki from the relay seemed to me to be very thin. In general, this is very strange, because the switched current is about 10 amperes, and the fuse is generally 15 amps. Similar garbage with a radio tape recorder. There the wires for the speakers are thicker than the power supply. On Fielder, the power supply to the radio tape recorder came of normal section.
The next step is going to be toned and at the same time make Shumkov front doors and rear shelf. Then I'll put my Alpine with a processor. And there it is not far from a subwoofer with an amp.
A cruise is also in the plans. A twisted cable costs 3,500 rubles, and the lever itself with wiring is 1,500.
young fellow! I did everything right! And about the cruise that you need! Tomorrow I myself am going for the lever, and I'll put it! I'll post a photo report!
Thanks.
I'm waiting for the report. I wonder if it is difficult to remove the steering wheel to install a coiled cable?
I think no. here is a link to a detailed photo report.

well done, I also want to stir up this =) I understand that the tumanok plugs are removed to the outside?
Well done, I also put tumanki for myself, but connected them with one jumper between the front and rear PTF relay sockets.
Yeah, I saw that you have two reverse moves like an American.
I have a Corolla, 1.6 manual transmission, comfort 17 grade, dark blue metallic, number 858.
PTF, plugs, 8 self-tapping screws ordered, buy a relay. I would be glad to help if anything, maybe I'm not a boom-boom in electrics :)
Hey. I made it turn on from the rear tumanki wheel, instead of the rear one there is a second reverse gear. The indicator lights up of course. And when you turn on the reverse gear, the rear fog indicator is still on.
What car are you driving? I will need to help in practice, since the garage is nearby. Please contact.
By the way, you are my neighbor in the yard :) Hello :) I
often see you and your car in the area and passing by the parking lot. I also think to put tumanochki, first connect to the dimensions, and later change the steering column switch.
Are you connected to the dimensions now? Is the indicator on the tidy on, that the PTFs are on?
In general, I first bought from a dozen so-called euro relays. And then when I removed the rear tumanku I used a relay from it.
"raise it and install the relay" did you order the relay too? What's his catalog number?
