When I bought the car, it had its own plastic protection. In fact, which turned out to be pretty strong, although one component was still torn off. But when the frequent trips to nature and for fun began, the understanding came that the original protection is not, so to speak, good, under such operating conditions. On one of the exits, while driving through the field along the track, the car jumped and, you know, hit the bottom very well, as it turned out later on a boulder lying in the grass and invisible from the car. It's good that this blow fell on the tank's defense. Of course, it bent, but not critical, the main thing is the tank itself was not damaged. And here I started thinking about installing a fully metal underbody protection, the so-called "ski". Let me explain a little more about the original protection, it is not even, but as if molded and because of this, when it gets into a rut, I managed to get stuck sitting on it. And so the search for "ski" began. What did they lead me to? And they brought me, of course, to the athletes who make any protection, for any car. But I am not an athlete and I was not immediately satisfied with the price of the issue, which was announced. The search continued. By the way, while the search continued, the car drove out on all kinds of pokatushki and after them every time it was necessary to remove the protection and shake out the accumulated dirt from there. Because otherwise she did not want to leave there. One of my thoughts was to make myself a defense, but the only thing that stopped me was that there was no place to bend the front sheet normally. In the end, my search was crowned with success. I did find a ready-made and durable serial protection model for my car. This protection is issued by the "Sheriff" company (not advertising). I'm pleased to have installed it on the car. But after the very first trip, I realized that it still had to be finalized. And the thing was this. It would seem that the manufacturer's designers have foreseen everything perfectly, i.e. if the original protection was attached exactly along the edges of the frame along and behind the crossbars, then this protection was made a little narrower than the frame, which in turn helped the dirt to escape from the protection on its own. BUT! When designing, for some reason, it was decided that the last protection sheet should not be attached to the frame cross member and therefore it did not reach 10 cm to it. This moment became a problem in operation. When driving along a good track, the tail of the last leaf bent and knocked on the gearbox. I had to bend it all the time after the pokatushek, which somewhat strained. But the issue was resolved within about 10 minutes. I am periodically served by the guys from the service on the corridor. And the solution was simple, a corner was screwed to the cross member of the frame, and the protection was already attached to it. After this small upgrade, everything holds up well and nothing folds. By the way, now you can ride in a rut right on the defense, the main thing is that the wheels reach at least a little bit to the ground.

Well, to be honest, I think it will be a good choice both for the city and for the highway. A petrol Arab will eat up a lot, but usually two tanks cost 95 main and 40 liters additional. I have a European diesel version. Only I would immediately change the suspension on it, for a more rigid one.

I just liked it very much and I was offered to outbid to pick up my Forik for 15 and find the same in the region of 11-11.5. And what, my consumption is now in the city in a normal, not economical mode, about 15 liters of 95 Go. And Pradik has 20 liters on gas. At the price it turns out cheaper. Then-servicing. I think that Forik is not cheaper than Prado for spare parts and consumables. But I will drive a large and comfortable car, and not flinch at every bump. Forik holds the road well and it is a pleasure to drive it fast, but the increased fines and fuel consumption when driving fast limits such situations as such.

Well what can I tell you. I left on Svom Pridik 4 years changing only consumables. And right away I want to note that these 4 years Pradik was operated pretty hard. Now, at this point, I had to invest a good amount of money in it. But again, it is worth making a reservation, depending on what kind of exploitation.

Where I jump on my Forike, on Pradik we are almost unperturbed I drove very comfortably. I got behind the wheel, rolled. Well, there is a little roll or what to call it I don’t know, but maybe this is after Forika. He is clearly going. But otherwise I liked it. Off-road, he climbed a hill on a polygon snowy well, a little higher than me. But until we really figured out what and how to turn it on. We want to go and ride normally on weekends. And take some pictures. That's how our first evening with Pradik passed.
