New Year's gift! - Toyota Camry, 2.0L, 1987
I traveled for 4 months without any problems, not counting the fact that it was not started from 1 time. One fine day, I went with my friend maX09 to receive a salary (I was just moonlighting, and so was a poor student) and already on the way back she apparently sensed that I had money, deciding what to share with her, because she drove me regularly to work , took and broke!
Suspicions were different, because she began to triple at first, then double, and I did not know exactly what happened to her. I didn't know until they dragged me into the garage on a tie. There, one drunken master was 100% sure that it was a candle or an explosive wire, after he thrust his finger into a candlestick while the engine was running, he gave up his opinions.
I immediately began to measure the compression, and it turned out that in cylinders 2 and 3 it was 2-3 units. The gasket is supposed to have broken through. Here is such a New Year's gift from her I received! It was decided to do an autopsy. There are few photos left and not very high quality, so I will write everything. First disconnected all the pipes, wires and vacuum tubes. They threw off the head. So it is, between 2 and 3 cylinders a gasket is punched, why is it not known? It was immediately discovered that a piece of the valve was apparently threshed in the 2nd cylinder, since the head and piston were pounded. And it was clear that the cylinder was being overloaded. From this there was a slightly increased compression, as I wrote earlier.
The insides were contaminated, but not much, apparently, it was recently overloaded. I didn't buy spare parts right away, because you are always straining with money, it was decided to find out what was most necessary, then buy.
From what was purchased:
- Fuel filter - 2pcs. for 250 rubles. (by the way, according to the database in the store, it broke through that I had 1 filter, I had to select another)
- the cylinder head gasket - 750r.
- timing belt - 800r. (non-original) -
oil seal p / shaft - 200r.
- oil filter - 140r.
- air filter - 250 rubles.
- oil scraper seals - 1280r. (original)
- distributor oil seal - 180r. (picked up on the market from various equipment)
- Shel Helix oil - 750r.
- antifreeze - 500r. (before that there was antifreeze, antifreeze was recommended according to the passport)
+ all sorts of little things like WD40 and some tool.
In total, it came out somewhere around 10000r.
There was no focal bulkhead, that is, it was not at all, just washed everything cleaned.
I measured the head for curvature, I thought it might have led, all the rules. Then the valve was lapped properly with a 2 mm track. I did not regulate the washers, and so everything is fine. I changed the oil seal on the distributor, it was still a hemorrhoid, by definition it should change in the collection. Along the way, I painted the head cover and the protective casing of the collector with heat-resistant paint from the spray bottle (Then it turned out that this paint is full of g, do not trust what they write on the bolonchiks and sell on the market. The paint from the casing began to burn and smoke, I had to clean it off, I was afraid to catch fire).
I collected everything, attached it, filled it in, I think it makes no sense to write in detail how it's done, if you have any questions, please contact
In general, we started it for a long time, since the battery was dead. Then it turned out that the tensioning roller played and the belt slipped two teeth (question: after installing the belt and tightening the roller, it then needs to be tightened, or it must tighten the belt itself). After installing the belt on the marks, it still curled.
