May be helpful. Bonding shock absorber supports on both sides - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 2008

May be helpful Bonding shock absorber supports on both sides - Toyota Corolla 16 L 2008

After 3000 thousand kilometers, in the frost below - 15 degrees, I heard a knock in front, as if the front panel was clicking, or as if a frozen coil of wiring was beating against metal, at first I thought maybe the ice was freezing and dangling, in general, the first winter I drove in the summer in general, this knock disappeared and I calmed down, but with the onset of frost it all started from the beginning, it terribly infuriated me, and I began to look for similar cases on the Internet :) and here it turns out I’m not the only one for everyone. Knocking front shock absorbers, or rather rubber seals. in cold weather, low-quality rubber freezes and begins to knock. Eliminated by gluing with silicone glue. Knowing the cause of the breakdown, I went to the officials there under warranty without any questions, everything was done within 2 hours, the cost in the act of completed work is 2400 rubles, but Toyota takes all the costs on itself. this is a factory defect, or rather a constructive flaw. In general, all Toyota Corollas produced from 2006-2008 with such a disadvantage. New ones with a 6-speed gearbox have already been improved. I hope this story will help someone to fight the officials :). I post a photo of the certificate of completion.

Vryatli they will do you, even if the disks are not native, they have the right to refuse warranty repair of the entire chassis and here are the springs cut,. Before such a trip, you need to put your own springs, and your own disks can otherwise be a prick. I posted a photo of the act of completed work, we can help something. Officials bastards yesho those

Oh yeah! finally I realized what was knocking. Thanks! Guys! I have this question. The guarantee and all formal affairs related to the officers are over. Will they fix this "flaw" for free, or will they still oblige me to pay for the work.

Question: Hello. In the winter, I asked you a question about the appearance of clicks in the area of the bottom of the windshield and the torpedo at negative air temperatures. I didn’t get a clear answer, and now I "climbed" through the forums on the internet, it turned out that the reason for these clicks was the defects in the support of the front suspension struts and was corrected by gluing the rubber bands of the supports with silicone glue. The question is: is it really so? Do you carry out such work? If so, how much will it cost and how to come to you for this procedure. PS shudderingly await winter, again nerves, again looking for these clicks. summer skated with a bang, no dust, no noise. All hope is for YOU!
Answer: Good afternoon, Alexander, official dealers have no information about silicone glue. If you are sure that the sound comes from the supports of the racks at low temperatures, then these elements are glued according to the manufacturer's recommendations with a special sealing material "Andulin". For more detailed information, please contact the addresses and phone numbers of our salons. Best regards, Sokolniki service shopping center.

I have a Toyota Auris 2009. the problem is exactly as you described.
on the shock absorber diagram there is a ring (48603C) should it be glued? attached scheme

alexclency 08.12.20

you need to glue the supports of the racks, they have a yellowish beige appearance, for this you need to remove the racks
