Polishing plastic headlights - part 1 - Toyota Sera 1.5L 1990

I think many owners of cars with plastic optics faced the problem of clouding of headlights, and there is not enough light at once and the appearance, the car becomes somehow tired ...
In general, I encountered this problem, read it on the forums, decided to do it myself, despite the fact that my problem was deeper - I also had some kind of dirt inside (in the photo below)

Since the inside also had to be cleaned - I remembered my grandfather's way of disassembling the headlights, namely, baking in the oven! It was scary, afraid to melt it or somehow spoil it. Next is the disassembly process.

As I understand it, the last signature should be read the other way around: it was, was it?

I thought at first to do so, even found a manual in net, but then smart people talked for a long time about temperature regimes and other tricks of professional polishing and I decided to entrust this business to them, especially since it didn't cost me anything.

... and the 2000th sandpaper not how?

At 90 degrees, you won't kill anything in five minutes, and you only need to disassemble if there is dregs or dirt or other rubbish from the inside, if the headlights are used only outside, then you can polish them even by car!

Damn, well, there's no desire to disassemble and bake the headlight tembolee. Tell me, is there a real threat to kill the headlamp?

a proven topic, back in Soviet times they did this, take it apart, what's the point of the headlights that don't shine?

This is the whole trouble, that from the inside. Already yellow (cloudy) ... the light practically does not pass.

you can also use a construction hairdryer ...)
"alternative" is not always an alternative to the best!

But then one headlight does not shine =))) Yes, you have to bake ... and how can you not do without a seal?

There is an option to buy alternative optics ... all the same, from the time I am going ... =)

With my (headlamp), by the way, it was! I won't say about a simple hair dryer, I haven't tried it - you have a chance to become the first)

Thanks for the advice. A simple hairdryer won't heat up? I looked well here, it, in the sense of the headlamp, had already been disassembled before, and assembled not very high quality, that's why it turned yellow.
