Windows - Toyota 4Runner, 3.0L, 1995
Here we again return to summer, but the exact time of summer is already difficult to determine. It is only known for certain that it was summer and it was warm, because poking around with the windows in the cold is an unpleasant occupation: o)
Over the summer, my father also managed to sort out the windows (several motors died). The rear ones now do not work at all (he rearranged a good motor from one of them instead of a poorly working right front one). True, the rear ones did not work before ... first one, and then the second stalled ... As it turned out - just a break somewhere in the wiring. However, they were not particularly needed.
But what was critical was that the rear side window lifter was practically killed to death.
If someone is not in the know, the Runners have a design feature - to open the tailgate, you must first completely lower its glass. On the one hand, this is a plus: you can connect to a remote control, for example, and while you are approaching a car with bags from a supermarket, the glass will drop and the bags can be thrown into the trunk - and you do not need to get dirty by opening a dirty trunk lid ... Or when transporting long lengths, the folded side stands for the car by 30 centimeters, and the glass does not hang along the roof line on gas stops, does not lie on the load sticking out of the opening (it was so on Takhe when I drove the boards, because the gas stops of the glass do not hold well) ... In general, glass does not interfere in any way ... Besides, when the glass is closed completely, it fixes the board well in the seals.
But this scheme is also a headache for Runner Breeders.
Due to frequent use, the mechanism wears out quickly ... If there is a poor seal between the glass and the bead, moisture (or even dirt) gets inside the latter, which is always abundant in the back. And from this, the side itself rots (moisture penetrates with pleasure into the lower seam and rotts it) ... And the window regulator mechanics rust, from which it starts to work poorly. If the mechanism itself does not rust, then the drive motor may well fail, because in winter the glass sometimes freezes to death to the seal ... If the motor survives, the gear sector will wear out. We had such a case ... I even welded on a few teeth to temporarily revive the mechanism slipping over worn out / broken teeth.
Well, in general, the old mechanism was successfully replaced with a new one bought. Let's see how reliably the Chinese make it for the Great Runner clones.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the price of the window regulator, but if anyone is interested, he can find the price tag for the "rear side window regulator" on the Internet.
In general, the method is logical. : o)
But about the ninth seals in more detail, pliz ... If possible, with pictures. Toka, I saw that you do not have page 130. Can you put it in the BZ 185 and throw it?
Since I had the same 130th runner before, I am familiar with this problem, and it is actually solved much easier than replacing the hoist mechanism regularly.
I, like many other runners, just changed the standard seals on the glass (which are blatant shit on the runner), to wider and denser "nine" ones. Together with the autumn lubrication of the mechanism before winter, this will keep the mechanism much longer, because water is no longer sucked in there like with a native rubber band.
Pasipa ...
Apparently, from the 8-ki it is necessary to get up in one piece ... you need to check the buit.
www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota...ner/4runner_ii/komarroff/ here is the 130th, but since this is a former car, there is nothing particularly detailed there.

here is a link to the topic, I recommend it. Really saves from many troubles.
