How it was! - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 1988

So, after a couple of years of riding, it was decided to take up the bodywork (it was in the plans). Since the car was purchased already with visible flaws in the form of through holes in the wing, doors and a little in the thresholds, it was not so bad for the look after parsing the body

Although my hands seemed to have grown from where they were needed, but due to the lack of equipment, I entrusted some of the restoration processes to my friends and not quite familiar ones. In general, the welding work and the painting itself were not carried out by me. My task was to bring the cook to perfect condition (as far as possible)

The process of preparation itself lasted for a couple of weeks, I cried in the garage almost all day, it would have been light, maybe night, in general, this year I have had an unforgettable vacation))) If right now I started repairing the body again, then I'm sure much everything happened faster, the first time is usually very meticulous about those details that do not need so much attention, in the end patience comes to an end and just in the end this very scrupulousness is needed, but I think I did it, judge for yourself.

There are shoals, I did it for the first time, so I am quite satisfied with the result. At the moment, the car is without a front bumper, it is being reworked. The front modular optics are also ready. I hope to demonstrate the result soon.
P.S. I'm sorry about the quality of the photo, but in garage conditions, as always, only the phone is at hand.

Thank you for the praise, I tried as for myself) I
'll post a photo of the optics in a separate logbook with a brief manufacturing process and description, but about the wheels, yes, but not all at once ...

Great, everything is at the highest level, my soul is happy for the typewriter! I would like to look at the modular optics. Everything that has been done causes only respect and praise. The color is good! The wheels would have been different) But here it already tastes and color ...) And my thresholds were about the same)

To be honest, sometimes my hands give up and the thoughts “can I have started this in vain” appear.
I will try to complete my plans, thanks again for your support.

This is not true all at once ... I wish you success, you are definitely moving in the right direction! I am really glad and admire when I see that these cars come to life)

Awesome! And after that, you still lose heart! How do you spread the report, I'll start tinkering too))

Thank you, I will definitely repaint the door frame, I wanted to repaint it myself, but then I forgot ... by the way, we can pay attention, I filled the cavity (the one around the car), pictures 5.6 and 8 can be seen.

Probably everyone had such thresholds, who had plastic linings ... our conditions with salt and sand contribute to this in every possible way ...
I would also change the wheels in your place ... I also changed my relatives already (not quite what I wanted, but what I had it in stock).
Color bomb! looks cool. Front door glass frame in black-IMHO.
But in general, a YOUNG MAN! Did a good job)

) I did not immediately notice ... SHEVING, so to speak. Looks good. I even thought about doing myself)

I wanted to do this from the very beginning, many discouraged, but after in some places it was necessary to remove this groove, I realized it was easier to remove it around the car =)

I cooked new rem. parts and smeared with a specific layer of Body, I hope it helps. They rot because there are no wheel arch liners and basically the right side (left steering wheel), where the tank saves a small wheel arch liner.

rear arches rot. I think all Hatch owners go through this. I just didn’t do anything, one fig got out three years later. )))) nada fiberglass body muddy.

I had the same processes) it was nice to drive around garages without headlights, handles, etc.)
